Generally the families live within 15 minutes by bus from the school. Taxis are very inexpensive and also a convenient way to get to school. A lot of families live within walking distance, depending upon the country. Most of the schools are located only a short distance from the downtown area.

The host families live in different areas of Cusco. Some live in the center, walking distance from the school (10 -15 minutes walking), others live in the more quiet, affluent areas of Cusco, outside the tourist district. From these places you can easily reach the school by taxi or public bus (10-15 minutes by taxi or bus). Transport in Cusco is very inexpensive. A taxi ride costs $ 0.50.

We try to place you as near to the school as possible. All our families live within easy reach of ELT - some only a short walk from the school. Please note that in some cases it can take up to 30 minutes to travel to school by public transport.

We only have the seven sites for now, and are willing to work with families who don't live close to one of our centers. If you are interested in participating, I encourage you to call any one of the centers listed on www.schizophreniaresearch.net, and talk to them about your options. They would do an initial screening interview to see if your family would qualify.

All our host families are located within a short walking distance from the school. Thus you can walk back and forth in just a few minutes.

It may vary by location and your placement. Some of our host families are located within walking or biking distance from your school. Although every effort is made, there is no guarantee that you will be placed in walking or biking distance. Some of our students may be required to take a bus or train ride to get to their school, and may take up to even one hour.

The homes can be in any area of the city, although we try to have them close enough to the school. If they are a little far, there is always a bus that will go past near the school.

In addition to the Main Law Library located at 1105 Front Street @ C Street, we have branches in the South Bay, East County and North County.

Graduate student housing is available on and off campus within walking, biking, or a bus ride's distance from both the Ithaca and Singapore campuses.

Consider taking our on-line courses. Remember, too, that most of our on-campus classes meet only once a week. Many of our students limit themselves to one or two courses per semester and consider it worthwhile to drive to our freeway-close Culver City campus just once or twice a week. You can also take a combination of on-campus and on-line courses.

All Volunteer Firefighters are issued fire department pagers that enable you to hear emergency dispatches in your community. Volunteers are encouraged to respond to emergencies on fire/rescue equipment, however they are authorized to respond to certain nearby emergencies in their private vehicles under strict guidelines. Motor vehicle laws must be adhered to and at no time shall any rotating or flashing lights or siren be used with private vehicles.

Most (almost 90 percent) of our families live in the following areas of London: St. John's Wood, Hampstead, Maida Vale, Primrose Hill, Regent's Park, Marylebone, Kensington, West Hampstead, Belgravia, West End, Notting Hill, Hampstead Garden Suburb and Golders Green. We can provide busing to all these areas.

The Richmond Hill campus, where freshmen and sophomores live and study, is about 7 miles or 35 minutes by Tube. The Kensington campus, where juniors and seniors live and study, is right in the heart of central London.

Guests, we are conveniently located on Capital Hill, Seattle's most exciting neighborhood that also happens to be closest to the center of the city - Westlake Center (15 blocks). Seattle is 20 minutes North from the airport. You can walk downtown or take the #10 Metro bus.

The Greater Rochester International Airport is conveniently located within a 10 minute drive of downtown Rochester and festival venues. Plenty of cabs and hotel shuttles are on site at the airport.

Jade Azul is close enough to Nosara to conveniently enjoy the hustle and bustle of the beach town, while making it easy to "escape" to your private retreat nestled in the jungle.

The Piedmont Triad International Airport is 20 miles from downtown Winston-Salem and is easily accessible off Interstate 40. Smith Reynolds is located 10 minutes north of downtown.

It will take you several minutes to wind down Pinnacle Vista to get to Highway 321. From there, it is about 8 minutes to shopping, dining & all of Downtown Gatlinburg's attractions. During peak seasons and weekends - Gatlinburg is busy and it may take longer to arrive at your destination.
