Almost all of our programs allow a little free time for individual exploration. After all, what's a trip to Istanbul without the chance to do a little shopping at the Grand Bazaar? Or a trip to Patagonia without a hike in the Torres del Paine? We strive to find the perfect balance between free time and structured activities.

In 2007 the following was organized: A walking tour of Florence, including the Palazzo Vecchio, churches of Santa Croce, Duomo, and Santa Maria Novella; students also took a guided tour of the Uffizi museum. There was also a bus trip to Siena, tour of the city, lunch, and a visit to the vineyards in Chianti. The final dinner was held at Aurora Restaurant in a four star hotel overlooking Florence from the rim of Fiesole. Costs were determined by how many students signed up.

The plan is to have organized activities led by our volunteers, as well as free time, during which families may create on their own.

Every afternoon, students have approximately 90 minutes for supervised ???free time???, during which they can choose to participate in a variety of activities and sports or simply enjoy some relax-time.

Yes, you will have time for reflection, meditation, and sightseeing, if you choose. Each daily schedule includes adequate breaks. Most often you will have time over Saturday and Sunday to explore our beautiful area. (The Center is open on Saturdays and it is possible, given your team and schedule, for you to have one or more sessions on a Saturday). The City of Edmonds is a wonderful waterfront town to visit.

Residents plan their day to the fullest by selecting from a wide array of activities and enjoying entertaining and educational events. Our Social Program, developed with resident input, offers many opportunities for residents to spend time with each other, pursue individual interests, and host their families and friends at our special gatherings. Yes, there will be a children's center for kids 5-12 and a teen center for those 13 and older. Check the Rally program for times and location of these activities throughout the rally. There will be on site "Friends of Bill W" meetings as well as many local meetings you may wish to attend.

There will be multiple leadership and skills development workshops at SGC that all delegates will attend. However, some of the time will be spent in smaller groups discussing specific ideas or projects. Applicants are not expected to have extensive background knowledge in the project topics, but should be interested in taking an active role in the development and leadership of the topic.

On a cruise, you do what you want to. You can do everything. Or lie back and do absolutely nothing. It's your vacation. Activities are a great way to meet people and there are so many you can choose from - everything from pool games, to wine tasting, to bingo, to dance lessons, but you never have to participate in any of these programs if you are not interested.

There are approximately 190 academic and social organizations on campus that students can enjoy. The Student Government Association, Student Union Advisory Board, and other organizations offer programs that students can attend.

These trips are planned both for their educational value, and with the intent that students enjoy themselves and come to learn about and appreciate Eretz Yisrael. Many students also participate in annual Yeshiva missions to Poland .

Explore the Pacific Coast tidepools along our stunning beaches - At low tide the rocky outcrops and tidepools along the coast invite exploration.

The organized activities include shore excursions and activities on board. On a cruise, the choice is yours. You may do what you want. You can do it all or just relax on the deck.

Many participants use their spare time for reading, studying, and preparing for exams. The four-week program has two hours each morning, which can be used for personal time, as well as all day Sundays. The online program has half-days off on Wednesdays beginning the second week of the program. Our tradition respects and honors all paths. We appreciate visitors to the ashram treating this sacred space and educational program with that same level of respect.

When you have some big life changes (getting married or divorced, have new baby, moved into a new house) and things aren't as organized as they use to be.

Most patients can resume normal activities within the week. This would include a desk job and driving a car, which you should be able to resume within a couple of days. You will have to avoid more strenuous activities, as well as lifting more than 30 pounds or riding a lawnmower for about 14 days following the GreenLight PVP Laser procedure.

In planning your time, you need to keep this in mind: for every hour in class, plan to study two hours outside of class. A full-time student (12-15 units) would have 12-15 hours in class each week plus 24-30 hours of study for a total of 36-45 hours of school work each week. That is like a full-time job. You have only 168 hours per week, so plan the number of classes accordingly. It is best to take fewer classes your first semester.
