The active elements in soapnut will continue to work even if the powder has lumps but we suggest that you allow the powder to dry thoroughly and crumble it in your fingers to break it down into a powder again. It's all in the ingredients. We don't use bismuth oxychloride, an ingredient that gives most mineral powders their "glowy" look and silky texture. Some people are sensitive to this ingredient and find that it can cause breakouts, itching and irritation.
