Initial request to carry a concealed weapon must be reviewed by the Chief of Police. Applicant will then need to complete a Police Dept. Teacher licensure is the responsibility of the individual 50 states. However, Utah has entered into reciprocal agreements with 36 other states where a Utah teaching license would enable an individual to receive a license from the target state with little or no additional coursework. You may carry a handgun while hunting on the OUTSIDE of your clothing. Yes. The permit holder or "PI"/"CI" must have a copy of the permit when engaged in a permitted activity, when the marine mammal is in transit incidental to such activity, and whenever marine mammals or "marine mammal parts" are in the possession of the permit holder or PI/CI.

The first step is the Basic Personal Protection Course, which takes eight hours. This is normally done in two four-hour sessions on two days. Once you complete this course, you get a certificate from us, which you take to the Department of Safety, at a Driver's License Examining Station. They will fingerprint and photograph you, do a background investigation, and issue you a Handgun Carry Permit, in 60 to 90 days.
