Age requirements vary according to the opportunity. The first opportunities available are the Counseling Seminars for those 14 and up, COMMIT for girls 11–16, and teaching Children’s Institutes for students 14 and up. We highly recommend these foundational training opportunities. Please review the information about the opportunity you are interested in to find out specific age requirements.

For those in need, financial assistance may be available through individual programs or Training Centers. Contact a specific program for more information. Keep in mind that history proves the faithfulness of the Lord to provide for those who have abandoned themselves to His will. The Lord often uses financial provision (or the lack thereof) to reveal His will to His people.

ATI offers many extra-curricular and co-curricular activities for a small campus, including clubs, intramural sports, residence life activities, and study-abroad opportunities. Many of our student clubs participate in local, national, and international competitions as well as participating in community service projects and sponsoring campus-wide social activities. Numerous ATI students are current and past state FFA officers and state 4-H ambassadors.

ATI is a packaged program that includes learning modules and DVD's for the course content you will be learning throughout the program. The program prepares you to succeed in passing the NCLEX exam for licensure as well as providing learning and review material for the nursing courses. The Comprehensive Assessment & Review Program also provides online unsecured practice testing and the proctored testing for course progression.

Unlike STAR tests for school-age children, there is no parent exemption for the DRDP. The parent exemption is part of state assessment regulations and covers statewide assessments from grade 2 through 11. Federal guidance indicates that a parent exemption applies to students with disabilities if there is an exemption for typically developing students. CDD does not provide for a parent exemption for typically developing students.

The FCPS consultants will be here for one week each month during the school year and will provide training and workshops for both parents and FCPS autism staff. Parent workshops will be offered on a monthly basis. The dates, times, and locations for these workshops will be posted on the website. FCPS autism staff will participate in monthly trainings that will focus on specific ABA/VB topics.

Many of the strongest chapters have strong participation by mothers and fathers. This can include an active parents or Minerva Club or being a member of the house corporation or advisory board. Parents can also assist in the organization of Parents’ Day, House Improvement Day, homecoming, etiquette dinners or golf outings. Experienced adults can always improve any undergraduate event.

Volunteers are a vital part of the educational excellence we provide our students, and we have an active Parent Association. Whether you volunteer to help in a classroom or the library, be a room parent, chaperone a field trip, become involved in our arts or music program, sell food at an athletic event, help with the holiday gift drive, or Teacher Appreciation Day, or become a Parent Ambassador for a new family, we heartily welcome your involvement!

We welcome and encourage parent participation at LHN. There are many areas where parents' time and talents are needed. GALA (our major fundraiser), working in the concession stand, helping with our annual golf tournament, and chaperoning at events are just a few areas where parent involvement is needed and greatly appreciated. BFS welcomes parents as partners in their children’s education. Parents take an active role in community building and fundraising activities. They are involved as class parents, library volunteers, special event planners and participants, and Parent And Teacher Association (PAT) members. In addition, there are opportunities for parents to learn about their children’s experience in the classroom through orientations, curriculum nights, and parent-teacher conferences.

No! Truly, the need for laborers is great. Jesus said in Matthew 7:7, “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.” If you would like to serve in a particular area, call and find out more information! ATI enrollment may be a requirement.

The Program Leader makes the decision as to whether or not parents can participate. There is an additional cost for adults depending on the number of program participants per room: 5% of Base Trip Price* per person for a quad (four to a room). This applies to Florida science programs only.

We encourage all parents to be involved in University Prep. One way parents volunteer is by serving on Parent Council, a steering committee of representatives from each grade level that meets once a month. In addition, parents organize and coordinate the annual Auction, the proceeds of which go toward capital purchases, financial aid, faculty support, and the ongoing operations of the parent organization.

Parents that are coaches and or certified referees can attend Golden Goal and live in the Athlete Village. Parents and family members of participants are encouraged to attend the park daily during tournament hours and for special events such as the Parents Barbeque, Opening and Closing Ceremonies, Championship Game, Hall of Fame Induction, and spectacular fireworks display. There will also be special programming and dedicated dinning facilities for family members who visit Golden Goal.

Parents don’t participate in Children’s Art Center classes, but we would never expect you to leave until you and your child feel comfortable with your doing so. Teachers are well-versed in facilitating a child’s transition into the new, "parent-free" environment, and can usually sense (and will let you know) when your child will be OK without you there. Until then, feel free to make yourself comfortable on the sofa!

Parents are an integral part of class in the younger years. As students get older they participate by themselves, but parents take part in the classes towards the end of each lesson. For all classes, parents are asked to include active music making in their child’s life. Sing along with the CD. Play echo games, making up patterns, as we do in class. Put the picture cards or notation games on your refrigerator and play identification games with them as you get ready for dinner.

The triangulation (mom, dad and your teen) is expansive into the issues, therefore are part of the Soulution. You will develop a close relationship with your School and your Family Representative at the School. Your seminar component will allow you to have a common thread of continuity and your family will then come from a standpoint of alliance. We feel comfortable in prognosticating your family's success if you work your Program as well.
