Depending on the width of the window we can fit 'x' number of sections in a row. If there are enough sections to create two full rows in the current window size we have two rows. Otherwise there is only one row of sections with the extra going into the MORE menu.

When I try to create a PDF of a complete report, it creates multiple PDFs instead of one PDF or the PDF software stops before the report is complete.

If you are printing PostScript then your printer must have the duplex printing feature turned on. Your file will duplex print and the Flip on Long Edge or Flip on Short Edge settings will be honored. If your printer has the duplex feature turned off, and you select a duplex option in your printer properties setup, then your file will not print on both sides of the paper but any flip option you've set will be honored.

Even though there are three recordings of each story on the CD, students don't always need to read along three times. They should read along as many times as it takes to be able to read the words by themselves. For many readers, this takes two or three times. I recommend starting by reading along three times. Work through a story with your student; if the reader doesn't know the words, ask them to read along more times. If the reader knows the words well, that student may need fewer read alongs.

The microform reader/scanner on the 2nd floor is connected to the adjacent PC. Individual screen shots can be scanned to the PC then printed out. (It may be necessary to restart the PC after turning on microform reader.) You may need to change the default positive/negative setting. Instructions are next to the machine.

Output from polygon() (and other functions calling polygon()) with the argument border=NA or border="transparent" should suppress border lines between polygons for all graphics devices. PDF output from R can be made in many ways, both directly, and through for example Postscript or Windows Metafiles converted to PDF in external software. We can print from your PDF's, if you are unsure about your settings please contact us and we can arrange to send you the setting we use. If you've applied any trapping to your files before you create your PDF, please check that you've set the traps correctly because Acrobat versions 5 and 6 can display traps inconsistently.

To print out a PDF document from the TSP Web site, just click on Print as you would for any other document. If you run into problems, try the following: First, select the print options you want by opening File, then Print Setup (in Windows and UNIX) or Page Setup (in Macintosh). Security settings in the document may not allow printing. In Acrobat, select File/Document Properties, and select the Security tab. This will display a list of the security settings for the document including whether printing is allowed.

Since everyone's printer setup is different, it's not recommended to print out the complete file; only the mini-area-maps that you need. A street map is always helpful & the free transit maps often provide additional useful information. But my guides are all you need, really.
