We prefer to receive photographic images as either tiff or eps, however we can work with jpeg as long as the resolution is at 300 dpi or better.

They must be in jpg, jpeg, gif or png though we recommend that you use jpg for MAXIMUM compatibility with our incorporated systems. These systems allow you to offer high/low quality preview thumbnails in full colour or in black and white. We also use other automated image manipulation techniques to embed our invisible watermark into purchased images. We DO NOT currently support bmp files at present but we will do so in the very near future.

Tests have shown that images can be printed at much larger sizes, depending on the image type and screen ruling used. On composite inkjet devices, customers regularly reproduce our images on posters at A0 sizes and larger. However, you need to check the technical specification of your printer and the size of image purchased before proceeding. See our technical specifications for more details.

Unless otherwise specified, and if the original images have the resolution, our output is 8x10, .jpg and sRGB. If the original image is small we normally do not stretch the image to an 8x10 format, instead leave the original dimensions intact. We do not have change the aspect ratio of images other than if required.

PNG is the best cross-platform lossless image format available today. It outperforms GIF in compression ratios, progressive download speed over the internet, and has a greater range of pixel depths available, from 1 bit per pixel to 48 bits per pixel. GraphApp uses PNG to store its portable fonts. PNG relies on ZLIB for some of its compression requirements. GIF is the outmoded image format developed by Compuserve bask in the 1980's. GIF is a service mark of Compuserve.

If you are prining a photo, send the file in JPEG or TIFF format. If you send the file in JPEG format make sure the resolution is set at about 300 dpi, so that the image will appear crisp when printed. B) If you are printing a logo, send the file in an EPS format if possible. If you send your file in EPS format, your logo will be crisp and clear, no matter what size you print it.

A minimum of 100 ppi (pixels per inch) at the final output size is suggested. (An example would be: 6"x6" original to be output 20"x20". 20 divided by 6 = 3.3. So you are enlarging your image 4 times. 4x100ppi = 400 ppi. You should scan your original at 400 ppi, when your image is enlarged 4 times the resolution goes down 4 times, resulting in a 20x20 at 100 ppi.) Vector based graphics & text (Illustrator, Freehand, CorelDraw, QuarkXPress) are scaleable to any size.

I'm trying to do CTF correction. Did I understand it right, that the aim of the sliders it to get the theoretical curve and the "data-curve" congruent? If so, to what extent should this be done? I am curently playing around with that feature and am not sure how curves should match as I did not succeed to get everything congruent

Generally this is due to a shifting of paper and fabric. The shifting is typically due to non-uniform tension of the paper, fabric, or both. To eliminate the problem, vary the paper and fabric tension until optimum results are achieved. In rare instances, some fabrics and papers are not compatible and one or the other must be changed. Shifting may also occur when using an extremely slick grade of paper, defective paper, or even old paper - especially if stored in an area without climate control.

Web4Print can handle most image formats such as TIFF, JPEG, GIF, BMP. Ideally, for high quality print ouptut, TIFF files are preferred. It is not currently possible to export JPEG format.

For the representation of a trade mark which is not a word mark, the only attachment format accepted is JPEG, the maximum size is DIN A4 (945 pixels x 1899 pixels) and the attachment must not exceed 2 MB. For all other attachments, a JPEG attachment (a scanned version of the document) and/or a PDF document (no more than 10 pages) will be accepted. The maximum size for other attachments is also 2 Mbytes.

Group 4 is the most popular and efficient bitonal (black and white) image compression format. It does a very good job with compression. Very fast algorithms exist for display and manipulation.

Microsoft offers the Virtual Hard Disk (VHD) Image Format Specification under a royaly-free license to make it easier for partners to develop VHD-based solutions and continue to enhance the capabilities and extensibility of the VHD format. Full access to the detail specification is available by signing the Virtual Hard Disk Image Format Specification License Agreement. The image must be in either .JPG, .GIF or .PNG. The first two are preferable because of their smaller file size. All images must be under 10kb in size.

The format of an image generally corresponds to the type of compression used, which is represented by an extension (after the period). For example - yourimage.jpg or yourimage.gif. The only authorized formats are therefore gif, jpg, or jpeg. If your image is not in one of these formats, you'll have to open it using a graphics application, and save it under a relevant format.

The clinical images can be can be submitted on a CD. The instructions for submitting the clinical images on CD will be in the testing materials package the site gets when they apply for accreditation. In multi-detector-row CT (MDCT), the reconstructed slice thickness is not always the same as the Tomographic thickness of one data channel (T as defined in the ACR accreditation documents).

The short answer: If you are editing the file and plan to reopen it in your image editing program later, you should save it in a lossless format such as TIFF, or one of the other lossless formats supported by your image editor. (See also the discussion of JPEG vs. TIFF below.) If you aren't planning on changing the image at all., you should just leave it in whatever format the camera produced.

All Digital Images photos are in JPG format. Most of our images are stored in RAW format. If you have a particular application where you would prefer an image to be supplied to you in another format we will happily arrange this. Contact us via email with your requirements.

Native Quark Xpress files. Native means it is the cleanest form of that application's file, i.e., no Quark EPSs, no PostScript files, no PDFs.

We accept multiple formats including Adobe - Illustrator, InDesign and PageMaker; Macromedia and QuarkXpress.

We use a PC to RIP files for print production. If files are produced on MAC; please make sure fonts have been outlined and files are made to PC format. File types that we can print from include ai, eps, tiff and pdf. You can convert the opened image to other image format by "Save As" menu item from "File" menu. See what graphics formats are supported by AyeView. NOTE: This function is Available to registered users only. This mean that unregistered users can not convert images.

Several CED titles were issued in letterbox format ("Amarcord," "The Long Goodbye," "Manhattan," "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" and RCA's "King of Hearts"). RCA called this their "innovative widescreen mastering technique," and on the back of the caddy provided an explanation for the black bands at the top and bottom of the television screen.

We support original documents made in Adobe Photoshop® (.psd), Adobe Illustrator® (.ai), CorelDraw® (.cdr), you are encouraged to send us the original files you used to generate these. If you have used an unusual font, please send us the PC font file or convert your fonts to vector information. If you used another program such as Quark Express®, Adobe Pagemaker®, InDesign® or Macromedia Freehand®, please export your document as a generic .EPS or .

Wide format printing can take from 24 to 72 hours based on the quantity, type of printing and finishing requested. We've built our reputation on quick turns and great service. While some jobs obviously cannot be completed in the "normal" turn time, we make every effort to communicate the expected turn around to our clients. (top)

Some King County imagery is available in the convenient MrSID format, but many users report difficulties getting imagery in this format to print out correctly. If you are having trouble with this, you may have an outdated MrSID driver file or your environment variables may be set incorrectly.
