In the near future LSU will be offering Biom 6221 as an online course. Applicants may register as a special student in the School of Nursing to take this course. While most NYU courses are open to Gallatin students, there are restrictions in some areas. Gallatin students do not have access to classes in the medical or dental schools. Law school classes are open to Gallatin students with permission of the instructor. Many courses in the Tisch School of the Arts are open only to Tisch students, including courses in the departments of acting, film production, dramatic writing, design, and dance.

Students may transfer up to 12 hours of graduate credit in criminal justice or criminology courses from a regionally accredited college or university. These credits must have been earned within the last 5 years prior to entrance into the program and can be used only for Special Topics Courses. Full-time students generally take 15 credits, or three classes each quarter. There are some exceptions to this; students taking MATH 121, or participating in ROTC or chorale may have additional credits. Freshmen may not enroll for more than 18 credits during their first quarter of college. Taking only three courses may seem like a breeze compared to the five or more classes you had in high school. However, college level courses are much more demanding.

There are no official restrictions, but it is not recommended to take more than 2 upper division courses in economics every quarter since these are not easy courses!
