The Swann Black Knight Camera receiver comes with an AV cable which plugs into the Video and Audio connectors on your TV or VCR. Yes, the Swann Black Knight Camera can be set to any of 4 channels the receiver is capable of using but you will not be able to view two wireless cameras on the same frequency or channel at the same time. Each additional camera must be set to a different channel on your receiver. Swann recommend a maximum of 3 wireless cameras for optimum reception quality but 4 cameras can be set up successfully with careful camera placement.

The Swann Black Knight camera has a heavy duty hood and weather resistant case to make it suitable for outdoor applications. Weather resistant cameras are able to be used in the outdoors if shielded from direct sun, rain, temperatures, snow and wind. Camera power supplies must never be left exposed.

In daylight it is most useful to measure the optical range of the camera in terms of Distance to Subject (DTS). DTS is a measurement of the ideal distance to view a subject from a camera viewing a 6ft/1.8m tall person from head to toe on a standard television. This assumes the camera is viewing from 3ft/0.9m off the ground.

There are two independent composite outputs (Video, Audio Left, Audio Right) on the rear panel. Connect your TV to the output labeled "OUT 1 (TV)", and the VCR to the second output labeled "OUT 2 (VCR)".

The cables system is already activated. Just connect your coaxial cable to the wall jack and to the input jack on your cable ready TV or VCR ( if you have a VCR, connect the cable from the wall to the input on the VCR, and the output on the VCR to the TV input with a second cable.)

To use TVGuardian with multiple devices without having to disconnect one to use the other, you will need to purchase an Audio/Video Switch Box. The allow you to switch between multiple sources (DVD Player, VCR, etc.) by pushing a button. An Audio/Video Switch Box can be found at Radio Shack and other electronics stores. TVGuardian works with virtually all TV shows, DVDs (see DVD info below) and videos, including videos you have recorded of qualified TV shows or movies (not home movies).

Make sure your TV is set to Video mode. To do so, press "Video" "TV/Video", "TV/AV", "Line", "Input" or AUX" on your TV remote control. The Video mode button will vary from TV to TV, some may need to be programmed first, through the TV menu.

Long answer: The minimum requirement for reproducing audio and video on DVD is an MPEG video stream and a PCM audio track. (Other streams such as Dolby Digital audio, MPEG audio, and subpicture are not necessary for the simplest case.) Basic DVD control codes are also needed. At the moment it's difficult in real time to encode the video and audio, combine them with DVD-V info, and write the whole thing to DVD. Even if you could do all this in a home recorder, it would be extremely expensive.

Everyone wants these to be TV's, but in most instances they are actually more closely related to the VCR. In a lot of models the only remote control that will satisfactorily work combo sets is the manufacturers original. The most commonly used method is to make sure Ike has learnt the Aether skill (teach him that skill using an Occult scroll). Then it's a case of engaging the Black Knight several times and praying that Aether activates. Because of this, victory or defeat in this battle is pretty much determined by luck.

You can connect your PENTAX digital camera to a TV to view your images individually or in a slide show through the use of a video cable (included with supported cameras). To do so, make sure that both the TV and camera are turned OFF before connecting the cable. Connect the video cable to the video output terminal on the camera. Connect the other end of the cable to the video (and audio for supported models) input terminal of the TV.

It's generally not a good idea to route the video from your DVD player through your VCR. Most movies use Macrovision protection, which will cause problems such as a repeated darkening and lightening of the picture. See 1.11 and the Video RF section of 3.2 and for more info.
