On the TR-44, CD-44, and CD-45 rotors, the standard control cable includes two #18 conductors and six #22 conductors, and it's fine for runs up to about 300 feet. On the Ham-series rotors and the Tailtwisters, this cable is good up to about 200 feet.

Answer: No! The answer is quite simple. The four rotor Enigma is derived from the three rotor version. The only changes were a thin reflector and fourth rotor, which took the same space as a normal wide reflector, and a little window to view the fourth rotor. That's all! They didn't adapt the rotor advance mechanism or add a fourth pawl. They just believed this wasn't important. The fourth rotor would only step once every 17,576 keystrokes.

The sensors used for the walker and sieves are identical sensors. We simply labeled the channels walker and sieve. If there is a known area where you could mount a grain loss sensor to detect rotor loss, then there should be no problem.

The sending coil is in Series Resonance whereas the receiving coil is in parallel resonance. A serial gives low impedance, which results in a high current and a high-induced voltage over the coil. Due the resonance, a higher voltage as applied is achievable. This gives a higher transmitting field as without a resonance circuit. The induced voltages will be significantly smaller if you using the circuit out of resonance.

A stopped rotor would probably not produce any less drag than a slowly turning rotor when all factors are considered, and it has several disadvantages. Rotor blade centrifugal force (CF) provides a moment (force times a lever arm) that counters the blade lift to keep the blades from rising up excessively. As the rotor slows down, at some point there will not be enough CF to handle the blade lift on the advancing blade. This will cause the rotor to flap excessively.

The Jove antenna kit contains materials for two dipoles, so for the sun all you have to do is put up one. As for the height . the higher the antenna, the closer to the horizon it will look. Generally, no. Because of the high frequencies involved, special coax suitable for microwave use is required to keep the losses low. Several people have asked if they can substitute RG-58, RG-8 or RG-214. These coax types have unacceptably high losses at these frequencies. People occasionally ask about 75 ohm TV/satellite coax as well (RG-62), which is a definite no-go because of the incorrect impedance. Belden 9913 is questionable because of "water piping" problems.

No. You must install an Ameri-King antenna that has been certified for use with an Ameri-King ELT. The TSO C91a requires that the antenna be part of the approved "system" that the letter of TSO is granted to. Ameri-King specifies the 30-inch minimum to reduce the chance of re-radiation problems and GPS interference. Installation of the antenna closer than 30 inches will not violate the TSO but is done so at the installers risk.
