The East West School is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing to offer continuing education credit for the Community Herbalist and Professional Herbalist Courses. No other materials are required in addition to what is included with each of the courses. However, it is recommended that students read herb books and related subjects as appropriate, and we offer a selection of useful books which may be purchased if desired.

After you return the answer sheet with 75% or higher correct answers, a certificate verifying your completion will be sent to you for your submission to your certifying or licensing organization. Certificates verifying completion are subject to any changes by the professional certification organization granting continuing education approval. Evaluate the number of course contact hours applicable for your own individual license.

Basically, there is no difference. Continuing and Professional Education (CPE) encompasses all extended studies courses and professional development workshops held on or off campus. We call this branch of university services Continuing and Professional Education, but you may still hear it referred to as extended studies (or "D2") from time to time.

Some Continuing and Professional Education courses may count toward a degree. Others will not. The program you want to transfer the credit into decides whether or not they will accept your Continuing and Professional Education credit. This means that while one program may accept your credit, another program may not. If this is a concern for you, it is best to check with an advisor prior to registering for courses.

Continuing and Professional Education courses must be formally dropped via a signed drop form, just like main campus courses using the Schedule Adjustment Form.

To be eligible for a refund, courses must be dropped before 15% of the scheduled course time has passed. Tuition refunds/waivers will not be made for courses dropped after this date. Please be aware that informing your instructor of your intention to drop, or failure to attend or participate in the class, or failure to pay your tuition bill, is not evidence of an official drop and will not result in tuition charges being waived.

Yes. When you complete a continuing education credit course, it will appear on your official transcript under the title Special Topics. Please keep your syllabus if you need more detailed information regarding the class for recertification purposes, etc.

A certified electrician may take continuing education from; a community college or public school district or public educational institution, or a state-licensed private post-secondary institution under contract with a public educational institution, community college or public school district that offers classes relevant to the certification category.

No. TDLR does not accept partial completion of a continuing education course. However, a provider may allow you to finish the course at another time; when the course is fully completed, the provider will transmit the completion record to TDLR. Yes. TDLR requires the provider to monitor licensee attendance for all courses, including computer-based and on-line courses. If a licensee does not meet the provider’s monitoring requirements, no continuing education hours will be given.

In order to maintain a Utah license, CPAs must obtain 80 hours of Professional Development (CPE)during a two-calendar year period. The reporting year runs January 1 of even numbered years through December 31 of odd numbered years. See Professional Development for more information. The specific requirements and guidelines for Professional Development (CPE) can be found on the Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing website in the statute and rules governing CPA licensure.

Insurance professionals are eligible for 15 CE's for each of the 5 core courses and CPA's are eligible for CPE's for the number of hours spent in each class. However, the program is not designed for continuing legal education (CLE) credits.

Medicine: The Library's Network for Continuing Medical Education videos can be checked out for two weeks. A list of available videos can be found in the Library's AV department. Most of the seminars count for seven (7) hours of Appraisal Institute continuing education credit (CE). As with all continuing education programs, each individual state must approve the seminar for credit. The online classes have been submitted to all states that approve online education and the The Appraisal Qualifications Board (AQB) of the Appraisal Foundation for CE approval. You cannot repeat a course within a three-year period and receive credit. We change our courses about every year to eighteen months and generally check to see if students are repeating a course of ours so that it can be changed.

Statements of Credit (formerly known as certificates) are mailed 2-5 working days after completion of a program, except during the university semester breaks and especially during the end of the calendar year when it may take 3-4 weeks. If it has been longer than four weeks, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Generally not, however, Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and certificates are available for many courses. Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are based on the number of contact hours for a course. They are earned upon completion of the course and coursework. CEUs cannot be applied to a degree program, but they are often necessary in maintaining certification or licensure in certain careers.

That depends on the policies and requirements of the organization granting the continuing education credits. Upon request, we will be happy to provide the seminar attendee with a letter documenting his/her attendance, seminar course content, and hours of instruction (each seminar day includes 7.0 hours of instruction).

Both no-fee and fee courses are available for CE credit. After attending class, attendees may visit one of the many CE Pavilions any time during Annual Session to enter the course code and print a CE verification letter. Yes, but this will likely be limited to Professional Engineers. According to the Georgia Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors, PE's are eligible for Professional Development Hours (10 PDH = 1 CEU) for attending the Conference. Continuing Education Units for other professions and professional organizations may also be available on a post-approval basis.
