Length of time spent in a hot tub (and ideal temperature) is a individual thing... some people tolerate hot bathing temps better than others, and it is true that some medical conditions can be exacerbated by submersion in hot water for extended periods of time. The heat limits and time limits enforced or suggested by the spa manufacturers, the NSPI, ANSI, UL, M-I-C-K-E-Y, (add letters ad nausium) are all to cover the butts of the people that make the safety suggestions.

In the beginning you should start your spa at 98-100 degrees. Once you are accustomed to this temperature you can adjust up or down to get to the temperature that is perfect for you. This is mainly personal preference although you should not stay in the hot tub for longer than 10-15 minutes at 104 degrees. If you are pregnant you should limit your time in the spa and reduce the temperature. Check with your health care professional before you get into the spa.

A cart or dolly that can support at least 900 pounds. Carpets can be used to drag a spa on most surfaces. Attention: Do not lift the spa on the door side because the door side cannot support the weight of the spa and you will break the door. Do not lift from the shell lip or outer cabinet panels, lift from the fully supported base of the spa.

After 10 minutes, prepare sample for post-thaw evaluation. Evaluate samples between 10-20 minutes to ensure consistent post-thaw motilities. Motility will decrease over time, therefore, it is important to be consistent in the timing of you post-thaw evaluations.

Basically all Swampys except the Ice Models operate the same so choose the one that fits your needs regarding dimensions, airflow direction & use.

The temperature will depend upon the covering material you are using. Please see your covering material's instructions for guidelines. Please note, for example, clear and transparent MonoKotes have very different temp needs than opagues or flats. You will want to utilize an incidence meter to determine the washout of the wing of your model. To do so, set the incidence meter on the root of the wing, and read the angle of attack of the root. Write this down.

Healthy tissue will remain cold for over 12 hours after a spa session, however, sites of injuries will feel warm even immediately after spa-ing has finished. This is due to the constant heat produced from a site of injury, due to the body's inflammatory response to damage. The effect of the spa will be to reduce the intensity of the inflammatory response for several hours enabling further damage to surrounding tissues to be prevented as a result of the excessive swelling.

It really depends on a few things. If the spa is hooked up for 220V, it will heat much faster than a spa that is simply plugged into a 15amp household outlet. The 220V units heat up an average of 10 degrees per hour. If it's a 110V plug into the wall model like the SporTub? 1050 and SporTub? 1054, then overnight would be recommended.

If you use your spa for a massage 10-20 minutes a day is ideal. If you use it to relax and "swim" you can lower the temperature and stay in it for approx. 30 minutes.

Because each spa??s environment varies, it is difficult to generalize the life of a spa cover. However, in the twenty years that we??ve been doing this, we??ve noticed that on the average a spa cover will last between four and six years. Besides spa environment, an individual??s willingness to use a heavy spa cover also goes into the calculations of this difficult to get answer.

Classes are held Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and begin in September and March at the North York campus. The program is a full-time 10-month program.

So far, no one has been able to manufacture a cost-effective "indestructible" spa cover. There are actually good reasons for this. First, your cover gets a lot of wear and tear on the top. With rain and snow, direct exposure to UV radiation from the sun plus expansion and contraction from temperature extremes, your cover takes a serious beating just from the weather.

First check the length of filter cycle. If spa is heating /filtering longer than it should, it will raise temp. Also during summer months it is very common for temp to jump 5-10 degrees over set temp. Adjust set temp down 5-10 degrees below your comfortable level. To bring temp down immediately remove some water and replace it with cold water. Then use blower option to send cooler air bubbles into water. You can also remove insulation behind cabinet panels.

Because of the chemicals that most people put in their spa baths we do not recommend that you use the Q2 Water Energy System in the spa. These chemicals are the same principle of foreign additives to the water, they are bad for the unit and bad for you. Another reason is that the current from the air jets could damage the unit. In addition, the fact that the water in spa baths is not changed after every bath does not make this a very good choice for treatment with the Q2 Water Energy System.

Most treatment packages, whether they are at a day or stayover spa include free access to their facilities.
