An inked fingerprint is a reproduction of the ridges of the finger with black fingerprint ink on an exemplar form.

Our pre-inked stamp ("StampRite") can be re-inked with StampRite ink. To re-ink: turn the stamp upside down so that you can see the die (text, lettering, etc). Place a few drops of ink just to cover the letters and let the stamp sit until the ink is absorbed.

For security reasons, the fingerprint itself is not stored at all. We only keep a digital version of the fingerprint you selected for your art work on file in case you need to have another copy made. All digital files will be deleted after 6 months. You can request to have you file permanently deleted at anytime. Your fingerprint kit will be discarded and shredded after we scan only the fingerprint that will be used for your final art piece.

No, only templates are stored in the system. When a finger is scanned, the characteristic points, or minutiae on the image are extracted and turned into a template. Only a digital representation of the specific points is stored, not the image which is discarded after feature extraction. Since the template only holds information about points located on your fingerprint, the original image cannot be restored by any means.

Sometimes the filler is a different artist, other times it is the same artist, but a different show and date.

Occasionally the fingerprint scanner will fail to recognize a customer's fingerprint. But since Paycheck Secure requires that both index fingers be scanned when the customer enrolls, you can try the other index finger. Self-inking stamps have a built-in ink pad. A patented spring device automatically re-inks the die with your image between each impression. In slow motion, you can watch the rubber stamp as it flips up and then down against the ink pad ? with each impression. In general our self-inking stamps use a water-based ink. Even though they typically need to be re-inked more than pre-inked stamps, the re-inking procedure is remarkably easy and mess-free. Pre-Inked stamps also carry their own ink.

Self-inking stamps have an ink pad built into their unit. The rubber die is mounted onto the die plate and the die plate flips up to hit the pad. A pre-inked stamp has ink infused into the die itself in the manufacturing process.

The material itself has been tested to make in excess of 100,000 impressions. As far as an inked stamp is concerned, the actual number of impressions depends on how hard you stamp the stamp, what you are stamping on & temperature - a warm environment allows more ink to flow out of the stamp.
