There are two kinds of requirements for a degree from the UO: general-education requirements (courses taken by every student regardless of major) and major requirements (courses required by individual departments). An official evaluation of your transfer credits tells you which courses we have accepted and which courses will count toward your general-education requirements. The official evaluation of your transfer credits will be completed after you are admitted to the UO.

Along with your application for admission, send a personal essay that explains how and why you do not meet our minimum requirements along with two letters of recommendation from teachers or other academic sources who can comment on your academic performance. This information will be considered with your application.

Yes, we accept transferable courses in which you received a grade of D--except for courses required for transfer admission (one college-level writing course and one college-level mathematics course) and for courses that satisfy the general-education requirements in writing, mathematics, and a second language. Our Reformation Tours representative will greet clients scheduled for airport/hotel transfers at the selected destination. They will meet you as you exit the luggage area. You will see your greeter holding a Reformation Tours sign or your name. Our Reformation Tours rep representative will assist you as appropriate and transport you to your hotel or tour. Yes, students can take examinations sponsored by the College Level Examination Program (CLEP), the College Entrance Examination Board (CEEB) or by the New York State College Proficiency Examination Program (CPE). Students must consult with the appropriate dean for permission to use any credit by examination toward their graduate degree or certificate requirements.

There is no physical assessment prior to enrolling in the program, but it helps to be physically fit and agile to perform massage therapy without becoming fatigued or injured. It is important that you indicate the highest degree you are seeking from Duke University. In applying students must indicate the reasons why they feel their test scores/GPA do not reflect their abilities and what other special circumstances should be considered. If they do well in the first semester they will be given full admittance.

Our admission process is selective. If you meet minimum admission requirements, we will consider additional factors such as whether you hold an associate of arts (A.A.) degree from an Oregon or approved Washington community college, which of your completed courses fulfill university graduation requirements, your GPA, and your grade trend throughout your academic history. Academic potential and special talents are also considered.

To determine your GPA for admission, we will include all attempted credits for which you received an A, B, C, D, or F, even repeated courses. Incompletes and withdrawals are not considered in the transfer GPA.
