You have two options. Either change your monitor resolution to a setting that will fit the screen, or download Maki's resolution patch.

Many of the FAQs on the site were not properly numbered as they were developed, and for that reason they can be difficult to work with. To correct the numbering of topics, create a properly numbered category to take the place of the old one, and then edit each entry in the incorrectly numbered one selecting the new topic in the drop-down menu. I have duplicate numbered sections displayed in the FAQ, one is blank, but I don't see the duplicate when I'm editing it so I can't fix it.

The "Launch Full-screen" option will ensure that Desktop Weather launches in a larger window. To reach this option, click on SETTINGS in the upper right-hand corner of the program window. This will open up the Settings Screen. Check to see that a check is in the box next to "Launch Full-screen." If there is no check, click on the box and then click on "Apply My New Settings". From that point on, Desktop Weather will launch in the larger window.

First, make sure that the permissions on the file are set properly for execute permission. By default, the permissions are 644 (rw-r--r--) and do not allow execution. You need to change the permissions, or the mode, on your cgi script to 755 (rwxr-xr-x). Some FTP programs allow you to change file permissions, if yours doesn't, then you can use the File Manager in your Control Panel to change the permissions.

You have probably set up this desk to not allow non-button programs to run. To allow all helpfiles, list winhelp.exe (the Windows help program) as an Allowed Application by filename, so WinU allows it to run. To allow just certain helpfiles to run, use the Access tab's lenient setting instead of strict, and list the window titles of the allowed helpfiles instead of the filename of the help program itself.

In another of a long line of Design Decisions I Regret, xv tries to do all sorts of clever things with regard to the image window's position on screen. For example, if you issue the Max Size command, xv will position the window so that the window's contents exactly fill the screen (and the titlebar, frame, etc. are off the edges). Clever when it works, a big pain in the ass when it doesn't.

The full screen editors need to know how to navigate to arbitrary points on your screen, and hence need to know what type of terminal or terminal emulator you are using. If they have incorrect information, it will look bad. In most cases the terminal type "vt100" will work well. At the Unix prompt, enter export TERM=vt100 and <return>, then try your editor again.

This message is caused by your screen size being larger than 640 x 480 resolution. To get rid of this message, you need to change your screen size back down to 640 x 480. If the contents of the LimeWire window are completely white or gray, then there is an incompatibility with your graphics settings and Java's ability to render the LimeWire window. If this does not work, others have had success by either upgrading their graphics drivers, rolling them back to a previous version, or disabling any hardware-driven graphics functions such as anti-aliasing.

To make a window taller, or come closer to the floor, you will need to do some re-framing. But it usually does not require altering the load bearing, or structural part of the framing. In order to make a window wider, you will have to change the header of the window. This is much more involved because the roof or second story will have to be held up while the header is being replaced (the header is the framing that usually holds up the roof or second story).

Make the screen resolution as high as you can while still being able to read the texts in the site comfortably. In Windows: Right click on your desktop, choose Properties, and Settings tab. If you have a screen resolution of 1024x768, make it higher -- up to a resolution of 1152x864 or more. Prior to GLUT 3.7, you can generate a full-screen window using a call to glutFullScreen(void). With GLUT 3.7 and later, a more flexible interface was added. With glutGameModeString(), an application can specify a desired full-screen width and height, as well as the pixel depth and refresh rate. Yes we can. Keep in mind that the code generated by most WYSIWYG editors is really bloated. By that we mean that those editors usually place a bunch of code in your file that is unnecessary. Don't ask us why we don't know. The results of that create a couple of issues. For you your file becomes a lot larger than you really need. This costs you in bandwidth. Remember every time someone opens up your site in their browser they download your entire file. Unnecessary code and all.

Go into the Device Manager and remove all items listed under "Display Adapters". To remove an item in Windows XP and Windows 2000, select the item, click the Action menu, choose Uninstall. To remove an item in Windows 98 and Windows ME, select the item and click Remove. If the installation asks you for the drivers, point the installation to drivers. Use the disk labeled "Electronic Manuals and Driver CD", to obtain the driver (you may have to browse to a specific directory).
