Report Composer works by using the External Action Block facility of Gen as an API. The developer writes action diagram code to extract data from the database, and then passes it to an EAB to produce the report. The developer defines the EAB first, and generates the EAB stub using Gen. Report Composer then imports the stub, and from it learns the definition of the API and the object names from the Entity Relationship Diagram.

Log in, click on the Publish tab and select the most appropriate template (eg. Guide, Review, Local ). When in doubt, select the General Article template. Complete all necessary steps. Once you reach the preview screen, you have successfully submitted your content. It will now have a status of Pending in the My Content tab. You can stop at any point during the submission process and your content will be saved in the My Content tab with a status of Incomplete.

The Jonathan Cape poetry list is small - publishing 4-6 books a year - and can only consider collections by English-language poets. Prior to submission, it is crucial that writers make themselves familiar with the kind of work published by Cape, and that they then follow the guidelines laid down in The Writers' Handbook or The Writers' and Artists' Yearbook. Ideally, any submission should include 30-40 poems; all work must be accompanied by a covering letter and sufficient return postage.
