We are where and how we are because of God's leadership. In 1989 God placed the vision in a few people's hearts to create a place where people could learn about God and come to know him. River Valley has developed over the years to be a dynamic and creative church with a compelling vision. We want to be a safe place for seekers to move towards Christ and a challenging place for believers to grow while serving the needs of others locally and globally.

Marriage, as both a natural institution and a sacred union, is rooted in the divine plan for creation. The fact that marriage can only exist between a man and a woman is a truth woven deeply into the human spirit. The Church's teaching on marriage expresses a truth, therefore, that can be perceived first and foremost by human reason. This truth has been confirmed by divine Revelation in Sacred Scripture.

The Great Valley Center was founded in 1997 based on the belief that the Central Valley's future is dependent on a balanced approach to public policy and the development of strong, diverse leaders. For most of the 20th century, the region has been overshadowed by the economic and social visibility of Southern California and the San Francisco Bay Area. However, the Valley is now among the fastest growing areas of the state and nation, and one of its most diverse.

We are not supported by a denomination or any other outside entity. Our budget is funded entirely through the giving of the people who attend our church. The combined giving of the people of Valley Bible Church to both our general fund and our building fund surpasses a half million dollars annually. Our church is also debt-free.

Heritage Pastoral Counseling Center is a component of the Heritage Community Church Network of Community Care. The church gives office space to HPCC to conduct professional counseling that is based upon sound psychological theory and Christian principles. HPCC is not a separate venture, but an important aspect of the churches ministry to the local community.

The SUNO trailer community can exist up to a period of two (2) years or until permanent housing, offices, classrooms and other facilities become available. When permanent facilities are established, the trailer community will be disassembled.

Putting People First described how the Government registered a new management order over the Swan Valley Nyungah Community land. This new order was to make sure the management of the reserve was in the best interests of the women and children who lived there.
