Q: Why can't the MT9 software detect my Xbus Master using Bluetooth?
Xsens Motion Technologies - inertial measurement unit IMU, M...Q: Why can't the MT9 software detect my Xbus Master using the serial cable? I am using a USB<>RS-232 converter to connect to the host.
Related QuestionsQ: Why can't the MT9 software detect my Xbus Master using the serial cable?
Xsens Motion Technologies - inertial measurement unit IMU, M...First check if the Xbus Master is turned on (LED flashes). If the LED is solid the Xbus Master may be in Bluetooth mode. Restore to factory defaults to select serial cable mode. Check if the serial cable is correctly attached to the Xbus Master and the host. Use the twist-lock at the Xbus Master side to attach it properly. Make sure that the RS-232 (COM) port used by the Xbus Master is not used by other software installed on your computer, e.g. ActiveSync.
Related QuestionsQ: What Bluetooth devices does the Xbus Master support (interoperability)?
Xsens Motion Technologies - inertial measurement unit IMU, M...The Xbus Master equipped with a Bluetooth? module has been successfully tested with the following products: Xsens recommends to use one of these products to connect with the Xbus Master Bluetooth for maximum ease of use and performance. These products have been tested with the XM in house. However, most products compliant with Bluetooth v1.
Related QuestionsQ: Is the Xbus system compatible with the MT9 SDK?
Xsens Motion Technologies - inertial measurement unit IMU, M...Yes, both the MT9 Software and the SDK fully supports the Xbus system, making it easy for you to develop your own application using multiple MT9's with the Xbus system.
Related QuestionsQ: Why does the Xbus Master shut itself off automatically after I turned it on?
Xsens Motion Technologies - inertial measurement unit IMU, M...If the Xbus Master detects no devices (e.g. MT9's) connected on the bus, it automatically turns itself off. Restore the factory default settings (Serial cable mode, 115k2 bps, 100Hz) and use the Xbus Master serial cable to connect to the host.
Related QuestionsQ: What is the "Advanced" option in the Xbus Master Settings?
Xsens Motion Technologies - inertial measurement unit IMU, M...If this option is selected the serial port output signals will also be active during Bluetooth connection. NOTE: you can only read from the serial port (log data) and use the sampling moment notification signal. You can not use the serial port to communicate with Xbus Master. If the Advanced option is selected the baudrate will always be 460k8 bps.

Plagiarism and Papermill FAQ'sIn addition to online plagiarism detection services there are software programs that can help you determine whether or not a paper, software, or computer program has been plagiarized. Some of the software is free and others cost. A few examples are listed below.
Related QuestionsQ: What is the latency of the MT9?
Xsens Motion Technologies - inertial measurement unit IMU, M...The duration of the 16 bit AD-conversion (sampling) of the 9 channels of data inside the MT9 takes 1.39 ms. The transmission over the serial RS232 link (@115k2bps) takes 2.17 ms. The total time is 3.56 ms. No, not "officially". However, the DLL COM-object can certainly be used inside the Delphi development environment through the IDispatch interface. No, not "officially". However, the DLL COM-object can certainly be used inside the Java development environment through the IDispatch interface.
Related QuestionsQ: What is the accelerometer range of the MT9?
Xsens Motion Technologies - inertial measurement unit IMU, M...The standard version of the MT9 comes with 2g accelerometers (?20 m/s2 range) but we can deliver a modified version with a 10 g range. This is also possible for the MT6. Please, contact us at info@xsens.com if you need other specifications.
Related QuestionsQ: Is there a USB version of the MT9?
Xsens Motion Technologies - inertial measurement unit IMU, M...No, the MT9 is available in serial output (RS232 or RS485). USB does not support long cables which is not practical in use.
Related QuestionsQ: I am using my own serial cable & software. Why can't I read any data?
Xsens Motion Technologies - inertial measurement unit IMU, M...First of all check if the Xbus Master is in serial cable mode. If you use your own cable you must use a null-modem cable with at least five conductors. The following signals must be connected TX, RX, GND, RTS and CTS of which the first two and the last two are crossed! To log data from the Xbus Master the RTS line (host side) must be active.

Q: What exactly is the difference between the MT6 and MT9?
Xsens Motion Technologies - inertial measurement unit IMU, M...The MT9 includes a 3D magnetometer whereas the MT6 does not. Both the MT9 and the MT6 are inertial measurements units (measuring 3D acceleration and 3D rate of turn (gyro)). The specifications of the MT6 are furthermore equal to the MT9. Our software (Starters Kit and Software Development Kit) does support the MT6, but due to the lack of the earth magnetic field sensors the heading (yaw) cannot be stabilized from rate gyro drift.

Related QuestionsQ 2r-08: How can a server detect that a client has exited or crashed?
DCE Frequently Asked QuestionsThe context handle provides this ability. When a context handle is created and passed to the client, the DCE runtime library keeps track of the connection between client and server; this may be done in the network code as in the case of TCP, or by DCE-specific ping messages if a connectionless protocol is used. When the client dies, the server is notified and executes a "rundown" function to clean up its data structures.
