Here are notes on setting up MS Outlook for email access under MS Windows 95 or 98. We will use, in this outline, an example user named John Smith with a mail account name of smith@rxn.com and a dialup PPP account name of Psmith. You will need to substitute your own account names. MS Outlook is a commercial email client from MicroSoft. In MS IE, select [View], then [Internet Options...], then select the [Programs] tab. Next to the Mail label, select MS Outlook. Save your changes.

Right-click Internet Email then click Properties (if Internet Email is not in the list click Add, Internet Email, then OK )

Here are notes on setting up MS Outlook Express for email access under MS Windows 98. One of the nice features about MS Outlook Express is the ability to setup multiple email accounts. We will use, in this outline, an example user named John Smith with an RXN mail account name of smith@rxn.com and a dialup PPP account name of Psmith. You will need to substitute your own account names. MS Outlook Express is the mail interface distributed with IE 4.0.

By webmail. Each account comes with it's own NEOMAIL web client. Which means you can access your email from ANYWHERE in the world! Simply point your browser to http://www.yourdomain.com/webmail/. :-) And our favorite. Simple edit your POP3 E-Mail software to automatically retrieve your email. Simply configure your email software for a POP3 Email Account with the following information below:

For the incoming POP3 and outgoing SMTP servers in Outlook, set both to mail.yourdomainname.com using your own domain name. For your admin user, the username in Outlook is simply the email address in full.

Off campus access through Outlook using the Exchange Service is not supported. To access your email off campus you either need to use IMAP or the Web interface. The IMAP/POP/SMTP server is mail.cmich.edu. The Web interface is located at: https://mail.cmich.edu/exchange. Regardless of the method you use to connect, the username and password remain the same. If you are using a client utilizing IMAP or POP to check your mail, you need to set your SMTP server to a server provided by your local ISP.

With the variety of different email programs that are available, we cannot provide all the details for each and every one of them. All of them should have the same basic required settings for accessing your email. These are: For SMTP access to send email using your SMTP server, set your Outgoing Mail Server to: mail.yourdomain.

Double click MS Outlook and this message "The name could not be matched..." appears. Proceed to continue to enter your Win NT ID or name in the mailbox. Outlook will be launched after the system authenticates your ID. Please note that this setup is not permanent, that is, you will be required to repeat the setup for every login session.

Open the MS-Outlook window. Go to start | all programs and select the MS-outlook icon or double click the outlook express icon on your desktop. Under server information, type pop.africaonline.com.gh as the incoming mail server and mail.africaonline.com.gh as the outgoing mail server.

Select the Tools menu and click the E-mail Accounts... item. Choose Add a new e-mail account and click Next. For your Server Type, select POP3 then click Next. Under the Internet E-Mail Settings (POP3) page put your name, as you want others to see it, in the Your Name box. The E-Mail Address provided by ServiceJump should be entered in E-Mail Address. Use mail.servicejump.com for your Incoming mail server and your Internet Service Provider's SMTP server for Outgoing mail server (SMTP).

MS Access is Microsoft's desktop database application. If you have purchased Microsoft's Access database application, you will be able to upload and use your Access database for free on your website as long as the server is a fully licensed MS NT/2000/2003 server.

If you wish to send and receive e-mail on your Custard It Ltd server, you will need to configure your e-mail software to do this. We have used Microsoft Outlook Express for the purposes of this example. When you take out one of our virtual servers you are given at least one POP (Post Office Protocol) account, this is where all e-mail sent to you is located.

Select "POP3" from the pull-down menu as your server type. Then enter "popo.ctimail.com*" or "pop1.ctimail.com*" as your incoming mail server and "smtpo.ctimail.com" as your outgoing mail server. Press "NEXT" to continue. (* Click here for selection of incoming mail server) Select "Use an existing dialup connection" button and then select "CTInets" from the scroll-down menu. Press "NEXT".

Fill in your name and your email address. Then type "popo.ctimail.com*" or "pop1.ctimail.com*" as your Internet mail server. The account name is your login ID and then enter your password. Afterwards, press " ADVANCED OPTIONS" button. (* Click here for selection of incoming mail server)

Set-up a new account in Outlook Express, and use the following details: POP Server: mail.domain.com , SMTP serer: mail.domain.com , username: email@address.com and password: the password you specified when creating the account.

Inside Outlook Express go to the Tools menu and select the Accounts option. Click Add and then select Mail... from the submenu. Enter your name, as you wish it to appear to others, in the Your Name page of the wizard. In the Internet Explorer Address page enter your e-mail address as provided by your ServiceJump account representative. When presented with the E-mail Server Names page, select POP3 for incoming mail server type, and enter mail.servicejump.com as your Incoming mail server.

Make sure you have configured your POP3 settings and SMTP settings to mail.yourdomainname.com. Also, to send mail, be sure you have checked login authorization required. More information is found from your CPanel in the Mail Icon.

For OLEDB Connection string Set con=Server.CreateObject("Adodb.Connection") con.Open "Provider=Microsoft.JET.OLEDB.4.0; Data Source=c:\domains\yourdomain.ext\db\YOUR_database.mdb" Try creating and using ODBC DSN connections . It is simpler. If you want OLEDB, the database location is c:\Domains\yourdomain.com\db\your-database-name.mdb You create ODBC DSN from the domain page (LOG IN TO YOUR HELM CONTROL Panel > Click On Domains Icon > click on yourdomain.

Outlook should now be running properly. You must now set up your account. These steps will help you get to your CAC access account. On the Advanced tab. You may change the lower settings if you prefer. If these machines aren't your primary mail reader, you may want to uncheck the 'Remove from server after X days' so your primary machine will download them instead.

Type in your web browser: http://yourdomainname.com/webmail. Substitute"yourdomainname.com" with your company's real domain name. Then type in your e-mail address as your username and then your assigned password. Short Answer: Hit Windows + Pause/Break Keys or right click on "My Computer" and select "Properties".

You will need to upgrade your email account to Mail Plus. Please login to your email and click on Options for more information.

Either Click on the attachment and select “Save Attachments” or RIGHT click on the attachment icon and click “Save target as”. The “SAVE IN” input box should now contain “TEMP” in the “save in” window.

Go to Tools->Accounts and select the account you just created (e.g. pop.asylee.net). Select 'Set as Default' if this is your primary e-mail address. Select 'Properties' Select the "Servers" Tab and check the box "My server requires Authentication" under "Outgoing Mail Server" and select "Okay"

Because MailFilter will mark the subject line of all spam designated messages, please consider using your software's "rules" to redirect "mailfiltered:" messages to trash. Tip: Create a new folder and redirect "mailfiltered:" messages to the new folder for easy review (File menu -> New -> select Folder). If your web site contact form does not include some type of image verification, it is likely your form will be abused by spammers and the like.
