Each input file to the render program starts with 19 header records that describe image layout and processing options. The fifth line contains three numbers which specify the RGB values for the background. 0 0 0 specifies a black background; 1 1 1 specifies a white background; 0.9 0.9 0.4 specifies a light yellow background, and so on.

Create this (which is called a gradient fill) in Photoshop or Illustrator or whatever drawing or paint program you use, and place it in PageMaker. If you want to make it an EPS rather than a TIFF file, then make the preview a 1-bit preview (it won't look so good on screen but you'll be able to see the colour that you apply).

You are probably trying to play an NTSC disc in a PAL player, but your PAL TV is not able to handle the signal. If your player has a switch or onscreen setting to select the output format for NTSC discs, choosing PAL (60-Hz) may solve the problem. See section 1.19 for more information.

Lucidyne offers both color recognition and black and white models. The main difference is black and white models do not recognize the color of the crayon or chalk. Color recognition is not needed in applications where only one grader is involved. In situations where two or more graders are utilized, knowing the grade lines of each is important management information.
