Once you have created an Audio or Instrument Track, you may add effects to it by selecting Add Stuff > Effects. Select the effect you wish to use and then drag it just below the track you want to use it on. When you see the red line appear, you can let go. The effect name will show up under the track name. Double clicking the effect name will open a device panel at the bottom of your screen, where you can play with the settings to get different sounds.
