What if my local news doesn't have captions during their live interviews?
Television Captioning FAQ'sMost likely your television station is using Electronic Newsroom Captioning. This is the script that the anchors are reading from. Only those portions that are scripted can be seen as captions. Most likely all weather, sports, live interviews and emergencies are not captioned. You as an individual or your local SHHH Chapter as a whole should complain that this practice is not acceptable.
