Click 'View pages' on PhotoScore's toolbar. Then locate and double-click the name of the scanned image that you want to save. When it is displayed, select 'File->Save As...' from the menu and choose a name and place to save the file. The Windows version saves files in .bmp format (v4 also saves TIFF); the Mac version saves files in TIFF (.tif) format. You need to download an updated version of the PhotoScore font.

If the file has the wrong contents there are two possible reasons for this situation; either the place, which the deleted file occupied, was overwritten permanently or the wrong Recognized partition was chosen for recovery. Explore all partitions found after scanning, then try to restore a file which size is greater than 2KB. If you find contents of the recovered file to match the original one, then use that partition for recovering.

This is a current issue with the Windows TIFF codec. If a compressed TIFF file must be reorganized to add metadata, the TIFF codec does not always preserve the original compression settings, causing the file size to increase. This particular Canon model embeds a preview in the JPEG image stream. Because the preview location is private, it is not preserved when the file is reorganized.

Although all documents were proofread before being placed on the web page, the difficulty in reading some of the documents has undoubtedly produced some transcription errors. MSI offers many file formats, but as a default format we recommend black and white Group 4 TIFF for most document storage applications due to its wide support by software developers, small file size, and ability to store multi page documents in one file. Other image formats are available for full color or special applications, subject to a higher cost per image, additional processing time, and in some cases, royalty fees. In order to use the move buttons the target file needs to be populated with at least a few pages. A quick way to do this is to open a target file with an existing PDF or TIFF file. When the target file area finishes populating with pages click either on one page or a group of pages from the target area. This will enable the movement tools, which allow you to either move the page(s) to the very top of the target area, the very end, move the page(s) up one, or down one in the listing.

In order to delete a page there must be pages to be deleted in the target file area. The delete tool only applys to the target area, you can not delete a page or file from the source folder. In order to delete a page simply select the page(s) you wish to delete and click the "Delete pages" button. This will prompt to see if you are sure that you want to delete the pages, upon clicking yes the page(s) will be cleared from the target area.

DWC will not destroy documents immediately. Paper documents will be kept for a period of time. To be prudent, paper files will not be destroyed until the system has been successfully running for some time, and backup capability has been demonstrated and tested.

Yes. A bitmapped .tiff file is an image that has been scanned as or converted to lineart and saved in the tiff file format. There is either black or white on this image; no gray tones. A .bmp file can contain colors, and are generally very large in size and low in quality. We do not print from .bmp files.

JPG, GIF, TIFF and BMP as well as other bitmapped graphic formats will generally not scale up to the size of a large format flag or banner. If you were to print a large banner with one of those images on it, it is likely to look granulated and unrecognizable. We support EPS and PDF vector formatted images. Many logo and mascot images are created in those formats so that they can look perfect when they are used at any size.

Most of our clients do destroy the original documents once the scanning and indexing process has been completed. A minority of clients retain the originals in conjunction with off-site low-cost storage providers.

Yes, but exercise caution when analyzing TIFF files. TIFF files contain raw gray-level information only, and the gray-level scale may not be linearly related to the signal intensity of the specimen. If the relationship is not linear, the gray-level scale is not suitable for expressing relative data values (i.e., for calculating ratios). Inquire from the scanner manufacturer whether this relationship is linear. Top TIFF files contain raw gray-level information only.

WIP provides both. You receive a master Tiff image (at 300 dpi) saved in Photoshop, ready for print use. If you need your images to stay in layers, or you have a specific file size requirement, please let WIP know ahead of time. Otherwise the image will be flat on a white background. Jpegs (jpg) that are provided are ready to load to your website, email, or pdf catalogs.

TIFF files require more archiving space and the process of transferring files and copying to CD or DVD is more time-consuming. Almost all our clients, including professional and corporate clients, request JPEG files and we do not consider it appropriate for them to carry the added cost of TIFF files. Not sure what you mean, but Netscape and Internet Explorer provide for storage of bookmarks and favorites. I am not aware of a limit. Also, there is a history file in each that tracks where you have been automatically.

Saving your files to the G: drive is important for several reasons: 1) When you save to your G: drive your files are automatically backed up every night; 2) Your files are accessible wherever you login on campus; 3) If your computer crashes (or has any other problem that causes it to not function properly) then you won't lose any files when MCnet Support has to reimage your computer. There are 2 ways to scan: one is "Stand alone", which is an executive program and only provides TIF and BMP forms. The other is application program of "TWAIN" and "Photo Suite", which supports various image formats, such as JPG, GIF, TIF and BMP.

The video plugin now saves screenshots from its internal screenshot function in lossy compressed JPEG format. We felt this was more convenient for most users, who want to save large numbers pictures, upload them to the forum and so on with minimum hassle. Please ask someone to convert images for you or search online for free or cheap image converters (there are plenty of them). I can't open images in Corel Draw / Adobe Illustrator / Macromedia Freehand / etc. This software definitely supports EPS file format. Is something wrong with your images.
