To start with, pop off the carrier that holds the three switches to the left of the steering wheel using a flathead on the bottom of the carrier about a quarter inch off the two bottom corners and it will fall right out. Then ground the tail of the switch (the wire coming out of the switch), I grounded mine to the cigarette lighter. The ground wire on the cigarette lighter is the wire that attaches to the side of the back of the lighter. Rodeo: It's the tailgate switch.

The Highway Code states that you must not use your rear fog light(s) unless "visibility is seriously reduced" (generally to a distance of less than 100 metres). You must not use them simply because it is dark, raining or misty. If you are sitting in a queue of traffic, please have some consideration for the person behind you and turn them off. There's no point in having your rear fog light(s) on when the car behind you is only a few feet away and stationary!

These are safety switches referring to the flow and temperature of the liquid in the machine during operation. Tes must maintain a certain flow in order to work properly. If the flow rate drops below a certain point, the machine will shut off. If the temperature rises above a certain point, the high limit switch will kick in and also shut the machine off. Using energy (heat) improperly, to dry can be abused as with any system.

My biggest questions have to do with the the things that I cannot modify myself that are not available from the aftermarket and are more of a wish list or a "why not" wish list than a "why didn't you include this" list. Why is there not an option to get a power passenger seat? I think that this would be a very popular option. Why are there not any OEM 20" wheels? In Newbug Digest 994 Alexander Niederfahrenhorst notes that the North American NBs do not have the wiring for rear fog lights installed. Rear fog lights are standard equipment on the European version of the New Beetle. Alex is working on getting a copy of the electrical diagram of the German spec NB to determine the possibility of rewiring for rear fog lights.

Almost all-original equipment H.I.D. lighting systems that come on new cars use separate bulbs for High and Low beams. A traditional halogen bulb is used for the High beam while a XENON H.I.D. system is utilized for the Low beam.
