KeyNote normally tries to associate itself with KNT files, so that you can open them by double-clicking. If this didn't work, you can create a file association manually in Explorer (View -> Options -> File types; the exact menu commands depend on the version of Windows). Or, you can ask KeyNote to try to create the file association itself. To do so, open the Options dialog box, click the "File options" section, and enable the option called "Auto register file type".

In the options you can press the 'Register Filetypes' button which will make CoolPlayer the default player for .mp1 .mp2 .mp3 .m3u .pls files.

Windows and Mac OSX are usually able to open zip files on their own. If you are having problems, you can download a free program to help open the ZIP file.

You must declare the mms file type in Windows (Windows Explorer > Tools > Folder Options > File Types) to be opened with the Marks Management program. Subsequently all files with the .mms extension may be opened by double clicking the file name.

Because you may not have a program assigned to open these types of graphic files, so must access the vector images from within the program you are using. If you are using a graphics program, the command is usually "file-open," and then select the image you want. Sometimes the single click interactor might seem to steal the double clicks. The default start character for interactors is ANY_LEFT_DOWN which gets both single and double clicks. Therefore, the default interactors will operate on both single and double clicks. If you want an interactor to ONLY work on single click, then change its Am_START_WHEN slot to be "LEFT_DOWN" or equivalent, and then the double click interactor's Am_START_WHEN would be "DOUBLE_LEFT_DOWN" or equivalent.

Issues such as this are usually due to a problem on the particular PC that you are using, and NOT with our audio files. One common issue that we found, is that another staff member recently installed a new software item (most likely an Audio Player) on that PC. What happens is, the most recently installed player "takes over the rights" to audio files - and when you double-click the .MPA file - the program that used to launch and play the file - is no longer associated with it.

Yes. If you hold down the 'shift' key while you're clicking, that will have the same effect as if you'd double-clicked. Shift-click makes a gap become a cross, a cross become a line and a line become a gap. You can also use the right-mouse button to achieve the same effect.

Some courses are enhanced with audio components. If your computer is not playing audio within a course, please ensure that your computer is capable of playing audio. Some email clients may not have appropriate right click popup context menu for such file saving selection. We have tested Outlook Express 6 that works properly. One way to get around this is to highlight the entire line, followed by copying it to clipboard (Ctrl-C) and pasting it (Ctrl-V) in the browser address destination in order to retrieve your PDF converted file.

The files are nearly all Adobe Acrobat pdf files, some are zipped GIF's. So you will need the appropriate programs for viewing the files.

If the file ends in .zip (.hqx for Macs) you need to download a program to "unzip" the file. Click here for suggested programs to use. If the file doesn't end in .zip or .hqx you either don't have the program needed to open the file, or you are not set up to open with it. Give us a call for help.

YUV image files are not supported by typical image viewing programs. Use the MediCapture Image Transfer Wizard (mcwiz.exe) located on the MediCapture USB flash drive to preview the YUV images and transfer them to your computer. During the transfer, the images will be converted to a standard file format of your choice. Once the files have been transferred to your computer and converted to a standard file format, you will be able to open them with common image viewing programs. The mcwiz.exe.

It is very likely that the program that is necessary to open the file is not installed on the computer where you (or they) are attempting to open it. If you are the eBoard owner and are not certain that all of your users will have a certain program installed, it may be better to post your document in another format. Most computers can open PDF (Portable Document Format) files. If it is not already installed, you can download Adobe Reader at no charge.

If the FLA file was created on a PC, you might not be able to double-click it to open the file. If this is the case, open Macromedia Flash MX 2004 and choose File& Open to open the FLA file. If you don't see the FLA file listed when you choose File& Open, see the previous question. Once you save the FLA file (originally created on a PC) on your Mac, you will be able to double-click the FLA to open it.

There isn't such a way to do this so far, but a simple workaround is to open a window and manually drag the edges to fill the screen without using the maximise button. The next time you open it, it should remember that size.

When I double click a file with .tex extension it opens in WinEdt, but in addition to this file, all other files that were loaded when I last closed WinEdt are also open. In Windows Explorer, select Tools > Folder Options. If there is no Folder Options in the Tools menu, check in the View menu. Set Application used to perform action to c:\pcs\pcs.exe "%1" -i c:\pcs (assuming that pcs installed in the default folder). Click on OK, OK, and OK to finish the 3 nested dialogs. At this point, you should be able to double click on a pcs file and automatically start PC Survey.

Click on "My Computer" then click on the MedicTag red cross icon to view the files on the MedicTag drive. The information form must be named "MedicTag Information.doc" without the quotes. If you saved the form with a different name than the original, the menu program will not be able to find it. Another common error is saving the form with the wrong file type extension. It must be " .doc ".
