The Polytechnic is 20 minutes by car from central Wellington. It is about 10 minutes walk from the Porirua Railway Station, and there is also a bus service from the station to the polytechnic. The Advanced Diploma and Graduate Diploma classes are held at the Whitereia Community Polytechnic, Wellington City Campus in Lambton Quay.

Answer: Several polytechnic programmes related to chemical engineering are accredited by the Department. Polytechnic graduates from these programmes may be granted module exemptions up to the equivalent of one year’s effort (40 Modular Credits). Hence, they may be able to complete B.Eng.
