Some students prefer to take the SAT Prep course immediately prior to the SAT exam. Other students choose to take the SAT Prep course when it fits well into their time schedule. Some like to take the course a couple months in advance in order to have additional time to practice exam skills.

The SAT Prep course is offered in high schools through the PTSA, Booster clubs, or the school administration. Yes. Normally there are 8 one & half hour lessons involved in SAT /ACT prep. Four of the lessons focus on the verbal reasoning portion of the test and another four lessons focus on preparing the student for the math portion of the exam. (One teacher works with the math portion of the test and often a different teacher is sent for the verbal portion) The cost of the 8 one & half hour hour lessons is $600.00 Lessons can be customized for individual needs.

While there are no specific pre-requisites, we do recommend that all students at least have a working knowledge of Algebra II/ Intermediate Algebra and as well as some Trig for the ACT. Much of the math section revolves around principles learned in Algebra II. While we review many of these concepts in the class, students who have not previously been exposed to them will not gain as much from the review.

Yes. We believe one of the best ways to learn the material is to both study it in class AND at home. However, we don't want to overwhelm our students with a lot of extra homework. Therefore, while we try to minimize the amount of material sent home (such as a practice exam, vocab worksheet, etc.), we also feel the amount of time put into the class will be rewarded on the actual exam. The average amount of homework a student receives equates to about 1-2 hours per class attended.
