If it's remodeling you're doing, we can help. For full kitchen remodeling projects, our staff may want to visit the project site to take accurate measurements. For smaller remodeling projects, we ask that you bring in dimensions of the room you are planning on changing. These measurements and your ideas will allow us to design an accurate cabinet layout for your project. Upon your acceptance of our proposal, we will work out all the final details and select the materials to be used.

You can go about the process in different ways. Conventional wisdom dictates three estimates for any remodeling work you are going to have done. However, if a home improvement contractor comes highly recommended by a trusted source, and you have met and talked with the contractor and feel comfortable working with him or her, getting additional estimates may not be necessary.

Most importantly, keep the lines of communication open between you and the remodeling contractor and the work crew. Ask questions. Let them know what your family schedule is and whether you have pets confined somewhere. It’s important to keep the work areas off limits to children and pets for their safety; however, you may have a little extra dust and dirt in your house, so keeping the work area off limits will avoid them tracking the dust to other parts of the house.

That depends. As a general issue, no matter what your project is, if it is poorly designed and constructed, you have wasted 100% of your investment, so beware of low bidders. It is better to pay 10% - 20% more up front and have a solid investment to show for it, than to "save" 10%-20% and lose the other 80% entirely. There are many services available which attempt to generically answer your return-on-investment questions. Some are more useful than others.

Most people finance with a loan called a mortgage. A mortgage is a long-term loan that uses real estate as collateral and is used to purchase a home. A home can serve as collateral for more than one mortgage under certain conditions. This is called a second mortgage and is typically used to finance home improvements or a major purchase. Custom cabinetry pricing varies widely and can be affected by the size of your kitchen, wood species, finish choice and doorstyle. A kitchen designer can help you ball park prices as part of an initial consultation. When moving forward with your kitchen, the designer will typically charge a design fee which is often put towards the cost of cabinetry when the kitchen is ordered. The M2 system is so versatile that it is compatible with other type of materials. For instance, if your house is made of traditional materials (blocks) and you wish to do some remodeling using M2 you just need to use anchoring systems that can connect the M2 system to the traditional system (3/8" rebar) and then seal the joint. It's important to spend the time it takes to do proper project planning, so you'll be happy with the results. Figure out the cost of the project by getting an estimate or estimates, secure financing if necessary, and arrange for a professional to do the work and then plan a schedule.

Hiring a qualified GC will bring their expertise into the preparation, building, quality control, and completion of your project. It is the best way to ensure your project will proceed in a timely fashion, and with the fewest possible "surprises". Homeowners that run their own jobs tend to not get the same attention and service from subcontractors and suppliers that the qualified GC will get.

When sewing on polar fleece, you will need to adjust the stitch length 3-4. Set the stitch width at 7.5mm. Loosen the pressure on the foot according to the instruction book. Set the differential feed at the lowest setting 0.6 or 0.7. If serging a coat or top you will need to stabilize the shoulder seam. To do this, place tape into the tape sewing guide. Sew tape to shoulder seam to prevent stretching. Have fun constructing your project!

The community geographer will work with you to determine a mutually acceptable timeframe to begin the project. A memorandum of understanding between project collaborators, the community geographer, and a member of the steering committee must be signed prior to beginning a community geographer-assisted project.

The IRB will formally notify you via e-mail and with a hardcopy letter when your project has be officially exempted. Please do not begin any interaction or intervention with the participants before receiving this official notification. If you begin work with the participants before receiving notification, the IRB will not retroactively grant an exemption. The South Bayside System Authority (SBSA) is upgrading its recycled water treatment facility to provide recycled water for the City of Redwood City’s Recycled Water Project. Tertiary treated recycled water from the SBSA Treatment Plant will be distributed for use by Redwood City businesses and Home Owners Associations that voluntarily choose to use recycled water for landscape irrigation. The distribution system is still in the design stage.
