If you are unable to attend your J9'sK9s group class and notify us at least 10 days in advance, we will happily return your $50 deposit. If you wish to make any changes to your enrollment (switch class start dates, etc.) they must be made at least five days in advance so that we may apply your deposit to your new class choice. YES, course material is included in the course fee and is mailed to you upon registration. A thorough study of the material in advance is required to get the most out of the course. How much time you will need to study the material varies by student. There are approximately 325 pages of material for Course A+ (101, 103, 104). There is no single place to upload a syllabi per se in Catalyst, rather the elements of a syllabus are separated out into the Course Description with texts, Policies: grading, attendance, etc. However, a popular option has been for faulty to cut and paste their syllabus into the course description text box. Faculty have also posted their syllabus as an attachment to the first day their class meets. Check to see that you are viewing the correct semester.

Yes. Over the summer families move in and out of the district, which changes enrollment. Families also move around within the district, which changes the enrollment pattern among schools. On the fourth day of instruction, the district reports fall enrollment to the state, which provides funding based on that number. If we have higher than expected enrollment that increases class sizes enough to add another teacher, we will.

There are set course books for each of the courses ECC offers. Group classes will have a suggested syllabus, for example Units 1 to 4 of our elementary general English course book in a thirty-hour course. Students receiving individual tuition usually have a more flexible syllabus, based more precisely on the individual needs of the student, and paced according to their ability. Our course books are mainstream EFL texts by the major EFL publishers.
