All transcripts documenting quarter credits will be converted to semester hours. One quarter hour is equal to .67 semester hours. The transfer evaluation specialist will review these courses to determine how many credits will be accepted in transfer. Fort Lewis College does accept many Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate test scores. Check with the Registrar's Office for specific courses and accepted scores for credit.

You first need to request your official transcripts to be sent by the previous institution to “Tidewater Community College, Central Records Office, 7000 College Drive, Portsmouth, VA 23703”. After being accepted into a specific program, you would complete an “Evaluation of Previous Educational Experiences” online form and submit it to Central Records.

We grant 1.5 quarter credits for each semester credit. (Multiply the number of semester credits by 1.5 for the number of quarter credits.) Students transferring from a school on the semester system will not lose credits; their credits are just expressed in a different way. One semester course is generally equivalent to one quarter course. Occasionally, two semester courses, taken in sequence may be equal to three quarter courses.

Although each college has its own policies concerning transfer of courses and credit, colleges frequently enter into Transfer Agreements. A Transfer Agreement can save students time and money as they pursue their degrees. Transfer Agreements may take several forms, but they typically include dual admission agreements and/or core-to-core transfer agreements.

Many credits from other colleges transfer to UVM. An academic advisor will review your previous academic credits and work with UVM’s Transfer Affairs Office to assess how many credits will transfer to UVM and how they can fit into a degree program.

The BIS program has no age limit for transfer of credits with one exception: the program does not accept computer application and programming courses that are more than five years old. However, students who can demonstrate that they have kept up with developments in computer applications through recent work experience and/or additional training may petition to have courses older than five years transfer to fulfill admission requirements.

Answer: Each student's transcripts are considered on an individual basis. The Registrar's office makes the final determination as to which courses can be transferred into your program after conferring with department chairs and the Academic Dean. Most students opt for the two-year program for working professionals. They complete two 3-credit courses each term, taken back-to-back to enable them to focus on one course at a time. Students in the full-time, one-year, program complete four courses each term, two at a time.

If a student is transferring from a quarter system to APU, that student will not lose units. The units are simply calculated into the semester system. However, APU operates on a semester system and accepts semester units at face value. Quarter units are divided by 1.5 to calculate equivalent semester units. A quarter unit accounts for two-thirds of a semester unit.

Generally speaking, if you have attended another college, you must have your transcripts reviewed by the Records and Registration Office to determine if your credits transfer. If you are granted transfer credits for English, you do not need to take the English placement test. All students must take the Reading placement test unless you have an Associate's or Bachelor's degree.

Charter Oak has a liberal credit transfer policy. We will accept most credits that have been successfully completed at other regionally accredited institutions. Yes, NECF accepts transfer credits from most regionally accredited institutions. Once you have officially matriculated into an NECF program, NECF´s Registrar can then evaluate your transfer credits. When transferring credits into NECF, we require an official transcript, sealed and forwarded to the NECF Registrar´s Office. Transcripts in any language other than English must be translated through the Center for Educational Documentation.

Collin works closely with other institutions to make the transfer process as smooth as possible. Central Pennsylvania College is accredited by the Middle States Association on Higher Education. Central Penn will accept credits from other accredited institutions. In order for your credits to transfer, students need to have earned a grade of C or higher. Once you have applied to Central Penn, and your high school and college transcripts arrive, the Continuing Education Dean will review your file and determine which classes will transfer to Central Penn.

You can expect the credits earned through the CWU Cornerstone Program to be fully accepted by most colleges and universities. However, standard practices of higher education institutions require that any type of transfer credit be made on a case-by-case basis. A student should check with the institution he or she plans to attend to determine what its policy is regarding university credit earned in high school.

Have the college granting the credit send an official transcript to the Registrar's office at Nazareth. Official transcripts usually cost around $5.00. Do this even if you took the course through your high school; we can't accept high school transcripts for college credit. Once we post your credit this summer, you will receive a letter telling you what courses you received credit for at Nazareth.

Yes, transferring to a university from SCC is very common. Be sure to meet with an academic advisor each semester because with good advising and grades of C or better, approximately 60 credit hours of similar coursework will transfer to your bachelor degree program at a university.

We do not require a set number of credits to complete our PhD program, but certain prescribed course work must be completed. Previous course work may fulfill some of our requirements. A student's previous course work is reviewed by the student's advisor to determine whether it fulfills a specific requirement. We do not fund master's students. Not all PhD students are offered funding. Funding is based on merit not need. We offer 10 to 12 incoming students funding each year.

All previously earned credits will be evaluated on a course-by-course basis to determine transferability and placement. Courses from New Jersey two-year community colleges have been evaluated and are available on http://www.njtransfer.org. Documentation of military courses and other training certificates that have been recommended for academic credit by the American Council on Education (ACE) may also be evaluated for transfer credits.

There is a good chance that some credit hours completed at other colleges/universities will apply to our program. Students transferring in credits from other colleges must have an official copy of the transcripts sent directly from that college to PBCC’s Registrar’s Office.
