The Mt. Anthems average about 45 in number. We are rarely able to travel all at the same time, because of various commitments, but there are usually at least 35 who can travel on any particular trip. The director, the bus drivers, and all other personnel serve on a voluntary basis with no personal remuneration. We have occasionally hired a relief driver for extended trips.

Our Worship Choir sings once per month in assemblies as a regular part of the worship team, and less frequently we will sing special music for holidays and to highlight teachings. You have the option of being in the Worship Choir (the first week of the month only) and/or the performing or Celebration Choir (singing specials and anthems). The Liederkranz holds an annual meeting for the election of officers for the coming year. The members who also vote for assistants for the Secretary and Treasurer positions elect a President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer. A music committee is appointed to assist the Director in the selection of songs for performances etc, and a Notenwart is also appointed to look after the music of the choir. The year-end of the choir is March 31 each year.

Membership dues for the Liederkranz are $30.00 per year based on a fiscal year which begins with the first rehearsal after the Summer break. Dues are not payable until after a new member has been admitted to the choir.

The choirs have approximately the following numbers of members: Oratorio - 60; Jazz - 70-80; Chamber Choir - 20; and Jazz Ensemble - 16.

It's up to you. We recommend you to use the choir's name (eg Oxford Bach Choir might use obc or oxbach), but if you're going to be the person responsible for making sure that your concerts are listed correctly on the website for the foreseeable future, then there's no reason why you shouldn't use your name.

Entrance into all the ensembles is by auditions held at the beginning of the fall semester (and by arrangement in the beginning of the spring semester). As soon as you get to school, reserve a time on the audition sign-up sheets that are posted on the main bulletin board in Slosberg Music Center. The two backup singers that Stevie has worked with primarily are Lori Perry Nicks, and Sharon Celani. Lori Perry Nicks, formerly Mrs. Gordon Perry, is now married to Stevie's brother Chris Nicks. They have a daughter named Jessica, Stevie's niece, born September 27 1991. Lori is originally from Dallas, TX. Sharon Celani is from Maui Hawaii, and formerly sang lead in a band. Stevie met Sharon in 1978 when she joined Sharon onstage at the Blue Max in Maui to perform "Poor Poor Pitiful Me.

YES! The conference choirs are one of the best ways for youth (and adults) from all over the country to get to know each other. Everyone is welcome to sing in the choir regardless of experience! Information about rehearsal times will be included in the tentative conference schedule and the location will be provided at check-in when you arrive on site at each conference.

Hitchin is a concert style club and often has two main acts, which doesn't normally leave time during the evening for floor singers. There are many local clubs, most of which have singers nights 2 or 3 evenings a month, and time for floor singers even on guest nights.
