For simply washing or bathing with the Cloth I highly recommend a good "All Natural" cold-crafted soap. The DermaSPA cloth really generates a lot of lather when used with such soap and using a harsh, chemical laden commercial soap would only serve to defeat the gains you made. This is the reason we added the Enchanted Waters line of Handmade "All Natural" Soaps. We wanted to give our clients the best possible way to maintain and nourish their skin between treatments.

The Cloth will last through about 800 hand washings and air dryings, or 400 by machine, without losing its effectiveness. They are VERY durable. Care instructions come with each.

It would be my recommendation that you discontinue the use of any chemical or acne treatments while you are treating your skin problems with the DermaSPA Cloth. The combination would possibly result in too much irritation to your skin (We don't want you looking and feeling like you have a Sunburn :-). It would also prevent you from fairly evaluating the results of the treatments with the DermaSPA Cloth.

It's easy! I was intimidated by this, too, until I discovered pocket diapers and all-in-ones (AIOs). Even if you use a simpler diaper system most of the time, I recommend you have a few of these to keep in the diaper bag. I simply carry one or two diapers, depending on how long I will be gone, a small wet bag for used diapers, and a few wetted wipes in a travel wipes container. Or you can carry dry wipes and a little bottle of wipe solution.

Yes, we do use lye in our soap making process. We use sodium hydroxide in our soaps ? All soaps (excluding detergent bars, which are totally synthetic and chemical laden) are made with lye but no lye is left in the finished soap. Our soaps are balanced so the chemical reaction has the correct amounts of both lye and oil for a balanced reaction. The result is that our soap is very close to neutral.

If you have dry or sensitive skin you should use a face cleanser. Soaps tend to be drying and can leave an alkaline residue on the surface of the skin which tends to cause irritation and interfere with the skin's ability to retain moisture. Facial cleansers usually employ Glycerin which is much kinder on the skin. Many soaps contain strong fragrances and colourants which can also irritate sensitive skin.
