This can happen when the audio stream is badly interpreted, meaning there is a problem on AVI header. To check that, you can use GSpot. It will give you the encoding bitrate mode (in the bottom right of the "Audio" part): CBR or VBR (written in green on black background). If none mode is lighted, then you just pointed out the problem. You can use the following guide (FR) to rebuild quickly the AVI header and fix the sound problem.

To play most of the audio/video files on our site you must have the free Real software and a computer with speakers. If none of the files play then the problem is most likely on your side.
