Feathers are structurally different and therefore functionally different than down. Feathers are two dimensional and have a shaft. While the structure of down provides for greater lofting and insulating value, the structure of feathers provide for greater support. Feathers still have a soft natural fluffy feeling while having a spring-like quality to provide resilience and support. Feathers are ideal for cushions in featherbeds, and for those who prefer firmer pillows.

The answer to that question depends largely on shooting style. There are no wrong choices, only personal preferences. Archers who shoot aluminum arrows using finger tabs or gloves are usually best serviced with feather fletchings. The natural texture and softness of feathers allows them to grab the air and quickly stabilize an arrow as it speeds towards it target. Feather fletching compensates for minor flaws in the arrow release, allowing for consistent shooting accuracy despite human error.

The rear of the feathers should be far enough forward to clear the shooters fingers or release mechanism when releasing the string. Occasionally, some patients may get better than 6/6 vision. This may occur especially in WaveFront LASIK surgery and for the correction of low-moderate myopia. Recent studies have reported that for low-moderate myopia (-5.0D / -500 degrees or less), about 70% achieve 6/6 or better vision. However, for high myopia, the results are not as good, with only about 40% achieving 6/6 or better vision.

Glasses focus light, they do not improve transmission of light. If a window has dirt on it, even with binoculars we cannot see clearly through it.
