Christian Leadership e-Academy's college preparatory course of study is designed to prepare students for entrance to most universities and colleges. Due to the fact that each college or university has its own entrance requirements, the student will want to consult with the school of his or her choice in order to tailor a high school program which meets specific requirements of that institution.

Draw, draw, and draw. Keep a sketchbook and draw everyday. Draw from life. Study people, objects around the house, trees, plants, animals. How do they stand, move or work? Become an active observer of the things you see. Try and understand them.

Students will be prepared to pass the NCLEX (state board nursing examination), obtain employment in an entry level nursing position in a variety of agencies, and pursue graduate education for more advanced practice and specialized nursing study. The rapidly changing healthcare system has created a demand for nurses who can function with more independence in clinical decision-making and case management skills.

Be sure that you wear comfortable clothing that will not get in the way of stretching. Blue jeans are definitely out. Do not eat for at least two to three hours before your class or scheduled practice; some students prefer to wait even longer. The most important thing to remember during a practice, whether in class or at home, is that practicing is an exploration. Each pose is an experiment. Go slowly and listen to your body.

Before leaving school, students are required to participate in an Exit Interview where they learn how much they owe, projected monthly payments, where to make payments, different payment options, etc. Graduation can be a hectic time—it may be hard for students to focus on student loan repayment, so hold on to any paperwork for future reference.

The subject area courses most important in this curriculum are Biology, Chemistry, Math and English. It is also important to have computer skills. We encourage you to obtain first hand experience in marine biology and research by doing activities such as: science fair projects, visiting the ocean, enrolling in summer marine studies camps, volunteering at an aquarium, or even learning marine skills such as small boat handling or scuba diving.

Through clever ACRONYMS students can not only grasp these novel concepts but also can readily recall them to memory while taking the actual test. It's like walking in with an answer key stored in your head. On average, students have raised theirs scores from 300-500 points by using this material.

Students should feel free to bring any of the following items listed below. Please make sure to take note of the items that are not allowed on University property: Clothes: Casual wear, church attire, and a tasteful bathing suit. Business attire is mandatory for class presentations and the closing banquet ceremony.

In the best possible way. We have to abandon the nineteenth-century notion of an educated person as one who knows everything. It would be interesting to know what year it was that the storehouse of human knowledge achieved a sufficiently large volume that never again would it be possible for a learned person to know everything. Knowledge is so vast today that we can barely get it all recorded, let alone engage it all.

You may attend any accredited institution and pursue any major you'd like, provided you complete courses which will meet our prerequisites and an undergraduate degree. We consider and admit to the program students from a wide variety of undergraduate institutions. There's probably less variability in the preparation students get from different institutions, than there is diversity among students' own interests and experiences.

Parents are welcome to attend the Spring Orientation on Saturday, May 17, 2008 on the UC Davis campus. This orientation includes both a general meeting for all students and a program-specific meeting with the instructor. On the day of the orientation students will attend a general orientation where they will receive information about preparing for travel including handouts on emergency procedures, and on health and safety.

You can take Math 1190 Calculus I and Math 2202 Calculus II if you want additional preparation. These classes are offered in the day and evening. The Department of Mathematics and Statistics offers a Minor Degree in Applied Statistics and Data Analysis. The courses required for the minor will help prepare you for MSAS and give you experience that will be useful. There are many commercial products that have self-study material for calculus.

Our course is an excellent preparation for the NALA exam. Students will have to do additional study in some of the specific areas. There is an 80% first time passage rate among our students who have chosen to take the NALA exam (and very few do). The national average for first time passage is less than 50%.

Some academic preparation (see the question above) can be helpful prior to joining the MBA. In addition, spend time researching your career goals, networking and conducting informational interviews with professionals in industries or job functions that interest you. Finally, current students often recommend that you spend time with your friends and family and, if possible, take some time off work before starting the MBA.

Several of our past interns have simply used the experience to improve their knowledge of women's issues or their grassroots organizing skills. Others have used the experience to see if they would be interested in pursuing a career in feminist activism or the non-profit sector.

NO! Institute classes are open to EVERYONE, whether attending college or not. Classes are available during the morning, afternoon, and evening to accomodate all class and work schedules. There are classes available at other institue locations as well, (See Henderson Institute in the South, North Las Vegas, and West Charleston Institutes) to help you find one that fits your needs.

NASPE requires that all students be actively enrolled in an institution of higher learning in order to be considered for internship program openings. NASPE accepts applications from undergraduate (junior or senior status) as well as from graduate students.

Current college students, whether at Miami or transferring to Miami from another institution, must apply directly to the University Honors Program in order to be admitted. For your application to be considered, you must have obtained at least a 3.3 cumulative GPA and have completed between 15 and 45 credit hours. Yes. While most of the students entering the program do so in their freshman year, the Center accepts sophomores into the program on a regular basis. They still have plenty of time to complete all of the requirements for the certificate or minor in Leadership Studies, as well as the major in International Leadership Studies.

The proficiency placement test for incoming ESL and international students is the SLEP (Second Language English Proficiency test). This test has three parts: listening, reading, and writing. Academic placement in ESL courses is based on your proficiency level as determined by the SLEP test.

Students are awarded student employment as part of their financial aid package. The average student employment award is $1,800. It has been our experience that by working 8-10 hours a week, the students can easily earn the full $1,800 award. Students can find out about the jobs that will be open for the upcoming academic year during June Advising or in August from the bulletin board outside our office.
