You may access your old Horizon e-mail account from March 28 to June 15, 2008. You will not be able to send nor receive messages from the old account after March 28. After June 15, the old Horizon e-mail service will no longer be available. Return to List of Questions

You will need to create a new contacts list (address list) in the new system. The old Horizon will be available until June 15, 2008 for you to copy your old addresses and import them into the new Horizon e-mail Contacts folder. No. Bear Access is a collection of popular network services and on-line Cornell services assembled into a single package. Bear Access and e-mail are available to students, staff, and faculty whether or not they have ResNet. ResNet provides Internet access, but is not directly tied to any of the services you use with that access. Even if you don't subscribe to ResNet, you can still use Bear Access and e-mail from a lab or with a modem or from another computer that has access to the Internet.

You can access your UW e-mail directly through WyoWeb by clicking on the e-mail icon at the top of the portal window. You can bring your laptop computer, you will have to contact one of local ISP's who will provide you with temporary Internet access for your limited stay. If you are staying in a hotel, make sure your modem will bypass their PBX phone system. If they have a data port on their phones you should have no problem, set your modem to dial whatever number you normally dial for an outside line, then your ISP's access number.
