A chat window directly opens at your operator console. You will see the visitor's name, email and essential identities specified. through this window you can communicate with the customer. You will then be able to type into the lower box and either press Enter or click Send to actually send whatever was typed to your customer.

Yes! A participant can write a free text response instead of having multiple choice answers to choose from. To make a free text question type "FREE" (without quotes) in all capital letters as the first and only answer. This is on page 106 of the NetLearning Training Manual.
