There is no fixed policy as to whether pilots can read papers during long haul flights. Some Airlines are very strict about it whilst others allow this practice provided it does not affect the safety of the flight. Anyway, it is normal for pilots to read Flight Manuals in the air to refresh their knowledge occasionally. This is done in the lean period of a long cruise in between reporting points. Whilst one is reading, the other pilot would be in control at any one time.

I liked it. Much better in my opinion than the other Stereogram book I've seen ("Magic Eye"). This one includes much textual information, including the origins of stereograms, how to see them, precursors such as stereo pairs, and an article by Christopher W. Tyler, who invented the SIRDS. Best of all were the stereograms themselves. There are roughly 50 SIRDS, most of them full page (the book is softcover and about 8" square).

The Miniature Schnauzer was developed to be an identical version of the Standard Schnauzer. The Standard Schnauzer has never come in the white color. Our history of the evolvement of the breed indicate that there probably were introductions of other breeds to reduce the size of the original breed. It takes some practice to become a good reader of Braille, just as it does with print. We learn Braille by feeling the different dots in each Braille "cell" and memorizing what the different combinations of dots stand for. It is best to learn Braille when you are young, even if you can still read some print. That way, you have had many years of practice and experience to develop good Braille skills by the time you are an adult.
