People are creatures of habit and change takes getting use to. I always suggest you live with it for at least a week and then if you are still unhappy, I'll be glad to come back once and tweak the room. Lake Forest College has experienced unprecedented growth in enrollment. Our residence halls are at full capacity, so room changes for new students are not an option before the start of the semester. However, Room Change Applications will be available the day after the academic add/drop period ends (for the fall semester applications will be available Sept. 13, 2007). Submitting a Room Change Application does not guarantee a room change since room changes are based on space availability.

We regret that we are unable to accept requests for change of assignment once assignments are mailed out. We do make a change process available to students after the second week of classes each semester.

If you don't like the room you have been allocated, you can submit a Room Change Request Form. Your request will be placed on a waiting list for a room in another area. This may take six months or more to be processed, depending on availability. Note - A room change fee does apply.

The dorms are modern with four students per room. Each room has its own bathroom, tub and shower. The dorms also have a locker for you to place all of your items in. The center will provide the lock for these lockers. The dorms have a small common lounge expressly for the use of the residents of that dorm. The dorms have microwaves, refrigerators, televisions, sofas, tables and chairs. The dorms share laundry facilities.

Melt some chocolate by puting a container with the chocolate in a pan of boiling water, stir the chocolate when it is getting hot. Some experimentation regarding what chocolate to use is in place. I used chocolate chips of from Girardelli. One should probably aim for dark and not too sweet chocolate. Pour the chocolate over the beans and smear it so that each bean is covered - you should have a single layer of covered beans not too far apart. Place the beans in a pan (no teflon) and roast them.

License agreements are for the full academic year which includes both fall and spring terms. Cancellations are extremely limited and accepted only under very specific exceptions. For more information, please see Cancellation of the License Agreement.

With the large demand for summer session housing we can no longer accommodate special requests for rooms unless there is a medical need. A letter from your physician indicating the need for special housing accommodations should be faxed or mailed to the Office of Residence Life and Housing.

We always hope that our customers will be happy with the accommodation they've chosen, and that's because we always provide them, right from the beginning, with all the needed information, from a general description of the room, to its location, amenities, equipment and even its view, if such info is available. That is because we don't only want to be nice, but we also want to be honest with you, even if that means telling you that the apartment you're about to book is located on a hilltop.

Setbacks are long and narrow, balconies are typically square-ish, rooftops have a lot of obstacles like towers, stairwells and HVAC, and gardens have soil conditions to tend with. Point being, size doesn't matter.

Bring your own sheets and blankets and pillows - often they only have those "styrofoamy" blankets and polyester bed-spreads If you can't do 10 (although I can't understand why if you are truly sick) - then ask for extra cotton blankets and sheets and put a few blankets on the mattress followed by a few layers of sheets. This gets you away from the chemicals in the mattress and the scents of anyone who has slept in the bed recently. Use multiple pillow cases for same reason.

Although the procedure is considered permanent, these procedures do have flexibility in changing color and shape to some extent, depending on the expertise of your technician. Colors will appear darker immediately following the procedure but will soften and lighten during the healing process. The healing time is different for each individual and procedure.
