There are several laser and laser-like devices currently used for hair removal. The medical term for hair loss is alopecia, and it has many different causes. The levels of hair loss can range from scattered hair loss to full scale hair loss. Some hair loss reflects a permanent and gradual change in hair growth patterns and some loss is temporary due to stressors to the body.

Comedo (whiteheads or blackheads) or papules. The comedo is the basic acne lesion, which is a plugged pore. If the plugged pore stays under the skin, it's called a closed comedo and forms a white bump or whitehead. Blackheads are comedos that open up and appear blackish on the surface of the skin. This black color is not due to dirt, but because the air reacts with the excess oil. Nodules. These are more serious acne lesions. They lodge deeper in the skin, are painful, and can cause scarring.

There are many different kinds of brain tumors. The first way to divide brain tumors is based on whether they are primary or secondary. Primary tumors are tumors that begin in the brain. Dry AMD - 90% of all people with AMD have this type. In dry AMD there is slow breakdown of the photoreceptor and RPE cells in the macula and a gradual impairment of central vision. Dry AMD is characterized by the presence of small yellow deposits under the retina called drusen, and by the appearance of small patches of defect in the macula called geographic atrophy (GA). Dry AMD usually causes only mild impairment of central vision.

Yes. Urge incontinence results from an overactive bladder. The bladder is made of muscle and when that muscle contracts before the person is ready to urinate, incontinence results. Stress incontinence is leakage with coughing and activity and is not caused by a problem with the bladder at all. It results from weakness in the supporting tissues and muscles around the bladder and urethra. When a person has both kinds of leakage then the diagnosis is "mixed incontinence".
