Even though I have not seen the course, based on my hiking and other 100 miler experience, I can share how I am training. In addition to running lots of miles with long runs, I do 3 treadmill workouts per week on Mon-Wed-Fri. I set the treadmill at 16% grade and walk at 15 min/mile pace for 6 miles each session. This gives me over 5,000 feet of climbing in the workout, 15,000 feet per week. In addition, I am lifting weights upper and lower body.
