Where are Proto Man and other original series characters in the X series?
MMHP: FAQNobody knows, officially. Capcom hasn’t said. They haven’t even said what happened to Mega Man, much less anybody else. The only original series character we can definitely place in the X series is Dr. Light—and even he has a lot of mysteries surrounding him (see another question). A couple of other characters have been mentioned, such as Dr.
Related QuestionsAre Proto Man and Break Man two separate robots?
MMHP: FAQfar as I can tell, no. I realize people like to take the fact that he looks a little different in one stage in Mega Man 3 to mean that there are two different robots in that game. However, although it’s a nice idea, I have found no evidence in the games or other official sources to verify that this is indeed what Capcom intended. I figure if Capcom meant for there to be two separate robots, they would have made it clear by now.
Related QuestionsThen why does Proto Man fight Mega Man so much?
MMHP: FAQEvidently he feels that’s the only way Mega Man’s going to seriously improve his skills. Sometimes it appears as though Proto Man is merely testing Mega Man’s abilities or resolve. And there has been at least one case where Proto Man was testing his own skills. Proto Man is never trying to destroy Mega Man, however.
Related QuestionsIs Zero the future form of Proto Man or Bass?
MMHP: FAQNo. Capcom could do a 180 later and change this, but as of right now, the answer is no. Zero is being constructed by at least Mega Man 7, if not sooner. Both Bass and Proto Man already exist and are running around freely while Zero is still under development in Wily’s lab. That means Zero cannot be any robot currently in the original series. He is apparently a totally new robot built from scratch.
Related QuestionsQuestion: What happens with the characters after the series is over?
Sandman Frequently Asked Questions - Part IIEndless miniseries! Or at least several of them. The two that have been specifically mentioned as possible are a Delirium series (with Jill Thompson returning to do the art) and the story of what Dream was up to just before Sandman #1. According to Gaiman, there are several stories that can be best done outside of the framework of the present monthly series. The recent Death miniseries is an example of the type of limited series and one shots that are possible.
Related QuestionsWhy do you call Proto Man “Break Man”?
Mega Man: The Series | FAQFor a technical explanation, see the Break Man VS Proto Man page. As far as The Series plot is concerned, Break Man dislikes the “Protoman” name because Dr. Wily essentially coined it (and thus it has a very unpleasant association with Wily), and Break Man doesn’t use his original name because he considers that too personal (similar to someone who prefers to be known only by his last name, rather than the more intimate first-name basis).

Related QuestionsIs Mega Man: The Series canon?
Mega Man: The Series | FAQNo. It is neither official nor canon. Quite frankly I consider only things created by one of Capcom’s own development teams to be “canon” and I am not one of those. If anyone tries to tell you the books are canon kindly correct them because I do not make that claim. The Series is merely my own portrayal of the Mega Man series and characters.

Related QuestionsIf Mega Man and X dueled, who would win?
MMHP: FAQThis question has no correct answer. There are too many factors involved which do not allow a conclusive decision. For example, X begins his games pitifully weak, with almost half Mega Man’s number of units in his energy meter and no defense to speak of. (In the game manuals he’s also said to be a relatively poor Maverick Hunter due to his aversion to violence.) However if X gathers all of the enhancements in a game, he usually more than makes up for his bad start.

In later games Dr. Light’s holograms obviously know about events that they shouldn’t, had they been prerecorded...and Dr.

Related QuestionsIs this a continuation of the original series, or a completely new series?
Outpost Gallifrey: TV Series FAQThat depends on your definition of "a new series". This is not a "reboot" or "reimagining" of Doctor Who in the sense of, say, the new Battlestar Galactica or the Tim Burton Planet of the Apes movie. This new Doctor Who is more like what the old one would have been like had it just kept running from 1990-2004. The Doctor is still a Time Lord, and all his history and continuity is intact. However, from a production standpoint this is a new series.

Related QuestionsWhy don’t you write an X series?
Mega Man: The Series | FAQBecause I don’t have any plots to write about. Books without plots are nonexistent books. I am not the type of person who can just sit down and write about anything. I have to personally see the plot through before I can put it down into words, and I need to personally understand the setting and its characters before I can write about a particular world. Please do not ask for X books, or any other type of books, for that matter. If I get the inspiration, I will write, but no sooner.

F.A.Q.Several places, actually. Ebay is always a good start. Check out their original comic art section and do a search there for "Generation X". This is possibly the best way to get cheap pages (I own four myself, each I've gotten under $40). Terry Dodson sells his pages at his website , but be warned, you need a heck of a lot of money for his pages, as most go for anywhere from $80 to almost $400. But if you're looking for Steve Pugh art, well, that's very hard, as he doesn't sell his art.
