This is a major concern for us and we are taking steps to make Gameday less resource-intensive on your computers. The first step is the addition of an "Options" button in the upper right hand corner of the window, which allows you to enable or disable the 3D pitch illustrations and other animated features in the interface. Selecting the "2D" and/or "Less" options will significantly reduce the processing power required by Gameday.

This process is a single thread running on each processor, which has the sole task of accounting for processor time when the system isn't processing other threads. In Task Manager, expect this process to account for the majority of processor time. The system idle process uses all the CPU time that is not used by anything else. CPU time is like any other time; you can't not use it. If you do nothing, you're still using time: you are using time to do nothing.

The 'System' tab of the IISxpress Status window shows the amount of CPU used by both IISxpress and IIS.

the risk of being very unpopular, I want to say that I am a big fan of the new Gameday. I think it's a big improvement over the previous version and it's my game tracker of choice. Within the non-global zone, the non-global zone administrator may now create projects in the standard way to differentiate between workloads running in the same non-global zone. Sonar always asks for 100% of the available CPU time, therefore Windows Task manager always shows 100% usage. Use the CPU meter in the status bar of Sonar to see how much CPU is really being used by Sonar.

This is a bug in the Windows 98 Performance Monitor. Do not be alarmed. windrvr.vxd (or windrvr6.vxd - in newer versions) does not actually fully engage the CPU. You can confirm this by launching several applications and observing that their performance is not affected by WinDriver's presence, even when the CPU usage is shown to be 100%. This problem does not occur when using windrvr.sys (or windrvr6.sys) instead of windrvr.vxd (/windrvr6.vxd).
