Technically, yes. However, you may want to be cautious about asking questions and posting messages that are extremely private or personal in nature. Currently, there are about 100 participants in LSA-Talk and it is growing all the time. Email messages can easily be copied and disseminated. Privacy over the internet is a legitimate concern. Remember that you always have the option to send your message privately to an individual rather than to the entire list.

Yes, with some limitations. The photo must be a JPEG (.jpg) file type, as are all photos taken by a digital camera. The total size of any message posted to LSA-Talk cannot exceed 100KB, including photo attachments. The size restriction implies that you will need to compress the digital photo before attaching it in an email and sending it to LSA-Talk. Full instructions on how to do this can be found [here].

This really covers several different mistakes. The first is sending business email to someone's personal address, or vice versa; while many people don't mind this, enough do that you should be careful. The QPR LSA (Loyal Supporters Association) continues to flourish, and long may it do so, in its own right. The LSA has representation on the interim committee of QPR 1st, and we are delighted that the LSA membership at large recently voted unanimously to support the aims of the trust. In the case of small, portable scanners with a small motor, it takes approximately 1 second to acquire the fingerprint. If the item is already moving, however, such as on a production line or printing press, speeds as high as 20 metres per second can be achieved.

Yes. The software provides an analysis of whether any local regions within the scanned area fail to match the database fingerprint. This could be evidence of local tampering, e.g. replacing a photograph on a passport or scraping the surface of the signature portion of a document.

Very. The operator simply places the item on our scanner, aligns it by pushing it against a guide rail and clicks an icon on the software. The software interface can be programmed to give a simple yes/no response or to give more detailed diagnostic about the item. All software and hardware actions are recorded in a log file, for auditing, security and quality control.

Fixed Wing LSA or ultralights look like traditional aircraft. They can have a low wing or a high wing. They are usually covered with fabric instead of aluminum to make the plane lighter. The difference between these fixed wing LSA or ultralight and the fixed wing "regular" airplanes lies in the occupant capacity and the weight limitations. Fixed wing aircraft are usually controlled with a "stick" or a "yoke", which actuates control surfaces on the wings and the tail.

Over the years gaining experience, and now with the FAA regulating the manufacture of these types of aircraft, they have become extremely safe, just like regular planes. However, just like with any other activity, flying an aircraft is as safe as the pilot makes it. A well trained pilot, one who performs the proper inspections before every flight, one who knows the weather, and one who cares for his or her aircraft properly will be a much safer pilot.
