The difference in pressure is a design function and it’s no measure of shock operation. Monotube units must run high pressure or they won’t work properly. Generally speaking, well designed twin-tube low-pressure shocks give a better ride quality for a given level of control than a comparable monotube shock.

The general rule of thumb is that monotube shocks are better for heavyweight lifted rigs, and twin-tube shocks are great for everything else. Monotubes are ideal for off-roading because of their extra firm dampening and extreme resistance to shock fade. However, monotubes have a longer travel range than twin-tubes, so they often do not fit onto vehicles without a large lift. Also, they are firmer than twin-tubes, so they create a harsher ride during street cruising.

Low pressure is 1 – 10 psi and does not need an external air supply source. Airsleds use a self-regulating blower that automatically adjusts to increases in weight. The system is contained and portable. High pressure is over 10 psi, needs an external air supply source and an air regulator.

Low pressure units emit both UVA & UVB at a lower energy level. Low pressure units are the traditional beds you normally think of when you think of tanning beds. To build your base tan in low pressure units, you'll usually start off with about ½ of the recommended maximum tanning time and increase by a minute or two with subsequent visits*. High pressure units give you immediate results. By filtering out the UVB rays (burning rays), you can tan quickly without burning.

Low pressure units emit both UVA & UVB at a low energy level. Low pressure units will give more of a red tone tan, and you'll need to maintain more often. High pressure units generate UVC, UVB, & UVA, but by means of a sophisticated filtering system, only UVA is emitted during a tanning session. It will take fewer sessions with a high pressure unit it to build a golden tan and to keep it.

Absolutely not! The slower the smoke is exiting the leak the easier it is to see the smoke. A machine that operates at 1½ PSI is not nearly as effective as a machine that is operating at ½ PSI. Since EVAP testing must be performed at 13 inches of water, (less than ½ PSI) any machine that is regulated to this pressure is a better choice for general testing as well.

Many companies sell misting systems that use water pressure directly from the tap or hose. While these systems are very inexpensive, they also lack the key element that makes misting so effective. Without high pressure, the water cannot be sheared to suitably small droplets. Low-pressure systems are prone to "spraying" versus truly misting an area. HVLP spray guns put more material on the work and less in the air as “overspray” which results in less material being used. Other terms used in conjunction with pressure are static (not changing - pressure at the hydrant before flow) and residual (pressure left in a pipe system when high water flow rates are occurring). Water pressure is measured in pounds per square inch (PSI). Low Pressure/Flow is generally described as not enough water in the system. If the problem is low flow, you should check with a plumber.

High pressure beds allow for a deeper, darker tan. Thereby, increasing the longevity of your tan. The high pressure bed will also build up your base tan faster. Once your base tan is developed, continual tanning in a high pressure bed would require less frequent trips to the salon. Which is a great time saver for that busy on-the-go tanner.

Your heart pumps blood through a network of arteries, veins, and capillaries. The moving blood pushes against the arterial walls, and this force is measured as blood pressure. High blood pressure results from the tightening of very small arteries (arterioles) that regulate the blood flow through your body. As these arterioles tighten (or constrict), your heart has to work harder to pump blood through the smaller space, and the pressure inside the vessels grows.

It depends on user preference. This depends on the application and the design of the concrete mix. For normal concrete a moderate slump of 3" to 5" is desireable. High slump is desireable when the concrete must be placed around a high concentration of reinforcing steel. Low slump is desireable when concrete is placed in large open forms, or when the form is placed on a slope. The concrete mix must be designed for these special applications.
