What causes PAP to occur in the first place?

New Page 1
PAP is a condition in which surfactant, a normal milky substance lining the lungs, accumulates to abnormally high levels and results in a feeling of breathlessness. There are several different clinical forms or types of PAP; primary (also called idiopathic or occasionally acquired), secondary and congenital forms. Primary PAP is associated with high levels of antibodies that recognize and neutralize an essential blood protein called GM-CSF (granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor).

What causes an abnormal Pap test?

Quality Health | Abnormal Pap Test
Many abnormal Pap tests are caused by viral infections, such as human papillomavirus (HPV) infection, or other types of infection, such as those caused by bacteria, fungi (yeast), or protozoa (Trichomonas). Natural cervical cell changes (atrophic vaginitis) related to menopause can also cause an abnormal Pap test. Usually cell changes return to normal on their own or after an infection has been treated or has resolved on its own.

Abnormal Pap Test
Most of the time, abnormal cell changes on the cervix are caused by certain types of human papillomavirus, or HPV. HPV is a sexually transmitted disease. Usually these cell changes go away on their own. But certain types of HPV have been linked to cervical cancer. That's why it's important for women to have regular Pap tests. It takes many years for cell changes in the cervix to turn into cancer.

What causes tides to occur?

OceanFun Publishing: FAQ: Tide graph for any place in New Ze...
Tides are caused by the gravitational attraction of the sun and moon upon the eath's oceans, combined with the daily rotation of the earth. The motion of the sun. moon, and earth are entirely predictable, and so we can predict tides well into the future. Unfortunately, a large number of factors make the prediction process quite complex. As we demand more and more accuracy in the times and heights our predictions, so does the process become more complex.

What causes blockages to occur?

Blockages can occur for two reasons. The first is the accumulation of material inside of the line. Draining unsuitable substances through the sewer, such as kitchen fats and greases or sand, clay or mud, can cause a build up and blockage in otherwise properly constructed sewers. However, the proper operation of a sewer line requires that the line be constructed "on grade", that is with a consistent slope.

This is a very difficult question to answer. Some researchers say that if the occlusion (bite) of someone is not correct they will brux. Others say that it is a central nervous system disorder. Others say it is a multifaceted problem. For all practical purposes......EVERYONE bruxes. Therefore, the question is NOT whether a person does in fact brux. Rather, the better question is to what degree do they brux.

But what causes the brain cells to degenerate in the first place?

Cure PSP ? F.A.Q.
No one knows yet, but we have some clues. The more important is that in the brain cells that are degenerating in PSP, there is an abnormal accumulation of a normal protein called "tau." These clumps of tau are called "neurofibrillary tangles." The normal function of tau is to help support the internal "skeleton" of the brain cells whose long extensions make contact with other brain cells.

How is a Pap test done?

FAQ's - NCCC National Cervical Cancer Coalition
A Pap test is simple, quick, and painless; it can be done in a doctor's office, a clinic, or a hospital. While a woman lies on an exam table, the clinician inserts a speculum into her vagina to widen it. A sample of cells is taken from the cervix with a wooden scraper and/or a small cervical brush. The specimen (or smear) is placed on a glass slide and preserved with a fixative, or is rinsed in a vial of fixative, and is sent to a laboratory for examination.
