Screen printing is a method where ink is applied to your label, through a web or fabric, which has been stretched on a frame, Attached to the frame is a stencil created from your artwork. The stencil openings determine the form and dimensions of the imprint produced.

Yes you sure can. Almost all layouts are faxed or e-mailed for review and approval. For the most part, no order can be printed unless we have a signed off version of the art, approving layout, spelling, size of design, etc.

Dots per inch: measurement of the scanning resolution of an image or the quality of an output device. DPI expresses the number of dots a printer can print per inch, or that a monitor can display, both horizontally and vertically. For instance a lot of images you see on your monitor are 72 DPI. While they look great on your computer screen, they are not satisfactory for printing your job.

Color separations break down a color graphic or into the four basic ink colors: cyan, magenta, yellow, and black (CMYK). Each single-color layer is then printed separately, one on top of the other, to give the impression of infinite colors.

Halftone images are made up of a series of dots diamonds, squares, or lines in a specific pattern that simulate the look of a continuous tone image. Another term for halftoning is dithering.

When the artwork for your label aligns any edge of the label with no white border, or blank space between the artwork and the edge of the label, you have a bleed.

Corner Radius is the measurement of the amount of curve a corner has, usually expressed in decimal form, the higher the corner radius, the more curve. The corner radius cannot be greater than half the dimension length, for example if you have a 1" x 1" square, with a corner radius of .5", you would actually have a circle. Common corner radiuses are .08" & .125".

There are hundreds of label materials in many different colors. Generally, labels are made from paper, vinyl, polyester (Mylar), and polyethylene. There are additional specialty materials like films, Lexan®, PVC, and others. We provide complete material information for each product on the product specific pages.

Two reasons. First, we are an internet-based business. As such, our sales, marketing and order handling expenses are automated, resulting in lower overhead than traditional label printers with expensive traditional systems and catalogs and sales teams. Secondly, many of our label products are digitally printed. Digital printing allows us, at times, to reduce set up costs, eliminate tooling, plate and ink charges again, passing the savings onto you. Embossing means to press an image into the paper so that the image lies above the surface. Our process for doing this is called "heat stamping" -sometimes referred to as "cameo" and "tool". Your labels can be embossed in with an image only (no printing) - or they can be embossed with foil stamping to add color and additional effect to the non-embossed area of your label.

Yes. To do this simply right click the trade in your screen and select "Close Position" from the menu that appears. You will then have the opportunity to enter in the closing trade details.

We use only genuine embroidery. Our computerized embroidery machines create your custom design stitch by stitch. All of our embroidery is flat embroidery.

Due to the different monitor calibrations, some printed colors may not match the colors displayed on the monitor. There may be a slight change. A computer screen is illuminated, so the colors will appear different on the screen than they do in real life.

Answer: Graphics Server has a text-spatial algorithm which determines the size of your text objects. When it determines that these objects will either overlap each other, or take up more than 30% of your graphics window, it first tries to reduce their font size. If that does not clear up the spatial problem, it then turns them off in favor of displaying your graph.

Very close. Computer screen resolution and printer resolutions are different. Computers use ppi (pixels per inch) to display text or images while printers utilize dpi (dots per inch) to print. However, we do process your images through our systems before printing to color match. Characteristics of the print material (matte, satin, gloss, etc.) will also affect the appearance of an image.

Due to differences in monitor calibration and technologies, some commercial printing we quote may not exactly match your monitor. AccelaGraphics will recommend color matching options during the proofing stage to ensure you receive the closest results to your professional commercial printing design.

Our patent pending technology shows an accurate preview of how your printed design will look. It is only natural that slight variations may occur due to differences in color calibration between computer monitors and the variation between printing on cloth vs. paper. If you'd like to include detailed instructions about your design, please use the ADD NOTES feature in the design application. Ultimately, our goal is to make you happy.

For custom artwork (artwork that you provide to us), we provide easy to use instructions for uploading your artwork as you checkout. While uploading label artwork is the easiest and fastest way to get artwork to us, you can email or mail/ship your artwork as well. If you do not upload your artwork, your order will be held until your artwork is received. This means that your turnaround time will begin when we receive your order, not when you place your order.
