That depends on each individual's abilities. To fly you must get onto the boat. Our shuttle boat loads from our dock and requires 3 steps up and down to the shuttle. You will then transfer from our shuttle boat to our Parasail boat by stepping up 3 stairs and then back down 3 stairs. Once onboard the Parasail boat you will be harnessed up and will need to walk about 10 feet to the flight deck while climbing up 3 steps. If you can manage these steps on your own, you can Parasail.

Yes, you are encouraged to attend. The Public Hearings are opportunities for you to offer formal testimony that will be submitted to the FRA as part of the Final Environmental Impact Statement. Written and verbal comments will be accepted. Four Public Hearings will be held at various locations in Allegheny and Westmoreland counties and are open to all residents interested in attending.

If you can not attend the Public Hearings, you are encouraged to review the DEIS at several convenient locations in Allegheny and Westmoreland counties or on the Project Web sites (www.ridegold.com or www.maglevpa.com) and submit your comments in writing to the Project team. Your comments will be included as written testimony and incorporated in the PA Project's Final Environmental Impact Statement. Written testimony will be accepted through December 7, 2005.

You will still have a few weeks to submit written testimony following the Public Hearings. At the conclusion of the public comment period, all public testimony and the DEIS will be submitted to the FRA. Once the Final Environmental Impact Statement is complete, FRA must issue a Record of Decision in order for the Project to advance engineering and design. This phase could take a few years to complete and, with federal approvals and funding in hand, construction would follow.
