Although the default installation of RedHat Linux 7.2 includes installation of lesstif (a variant of Motif that does not work with CLIM), there is an installation mode where you can alter the default package installation list and therefore prevent the installation of lesstif. Actually most LessTif widgets work somewhat. Many work fairly well. Things like traversal and focus handling have been worked on, but probably aren't really all that functional yet. The menu system is quickly losing its child diseases (occasionally freezing the X server with grabs). If you're not in a rush when working the menus, the odds are low that you'll get in much trouble. Also dragging in the menus will get you in trouble faster than clicking.

If you do, you'll need to get the source pcmcia-cs (if you haven't already). Once you have the source, you need to run the configure script for it. Directions on this are in the root directory of the pcmcia package. It will ask a question from where to get the configuration. It can deduce the settings from the running kernel/pcmcia modules. Once you have run the configure the config.h file that the WLAN drivers are looking for will be there and the compilation should work without errors.

The thread libraries shipped with RedHat 9 contain an error causing Posadis not to work. The solution is to upgrade your thread libraries. Instructions on how to do that can be found here.
