What is RCF (rc.firewall)? Our normal practice is to update the Test ratings after each Test match (usually within 12 hours) and ODI ratings at the end of each ODI series. We try not to publish Test ratings if another Test match is currently in progress. However, if there are lots of overlapping Test matches running into each other we try to be more flexible so that the Ratings on the website don't get too out of date.

Desktop Weather gets its information from Weather.com. The "Current Conditions" and severe weather alerts are updated every 5 minutes and the forecast is updated every 60 minutes. If you mouse over the weather icon right underneath the current temperature, text will appear indicating the last time that "Current Conditions" were updated.

The site's home page is updated throughout the day, beginning at 12:00 a.m. (Pacific Time), when the day's stories from The Oregonian are published. The Oregonian also maintains a news updates weblog 24/7 which loads into the homepage under "Local Updates." The homepage also changes throughout the day to reflect different features, topics and breaking news.
